Hot mess

Sitting quietly on the chair, your smile turned to a grin looking at his body stir about to wake up from his well rested sleep. You keep your gaze on his face as his eyelids open to reveal his teal colored eyes.

"[N-Name]? What are you doing here so early?" he asked in a sleepy voice, looking up to you.

"Good Morning Yukio. It's the weekend, I figured why not have a visit. You're off work today after all."

"Strange seeing you awake at this time of the morning."

"Well you did tell me that you're free from work today and you didn't have to go somewhere else so I didn't want to waste any time to go here. As I expected, both you and Rin were still asleep."

"What time did you come here exactly?"

"About an hour or so and since you were still sleeping, I just watched you instead."

"Why didn't you just wake me up?"

"How could I do it if you look so peaceful. I know how limited the sleep you get everyday so I didn't bother doing so." you caress his cheek gently.

Yukio smiled at you and it was a genuine smile. He does smile every now and then but only an excuse to be polite and to cover up his stress. You can't blame him though, he does have a lot of responsibility that he is handling. You're glad that he still smiles unfeigned every once in a while.

"How could you sleep with Rin's snores anyway?" you look over the older brother.

"I had no choice but to get use it I guess."

He sat up from his position, rubbing his left eye. You suddenly chuckled as he put down his hand, leaving him confused.

"What's so funny?"

"I like your bed hair." you pointed on his hair.

He was about to fix it but you stopped him before he could.

"Please don't, you look quite attractive but not that you aren't though."

A blush appeared on his cheeks.

"I look--"

Before he could continue, you took out your polaroid and click the shutter. He rubs his eyes after seeing the flash while you happily take the picture after it came out.

"I'm sorry Yukio but I can't help it." you gave him an innocent smile.

"At least tell me before taking a photo next time." 

"Will do."

When the image finally appeared, you gave him his glasses and showed the photo to him. 

"See? No wonder girls admire you so much, even without that bed hair."

"I look like a mess." he said without being unexpectedly interrupted this time.

"A hot mess that is."

He started to stutter to whatever he's saying so you gave him a peck on his lips to quiet him up.

"I bet you're just hungry as I am. Here, I brought you breakfast." you gave him the bento you brought.

He murmured a 'thank you' before eating right away.

You smiled at his shy behavior.
