10 Reasons Why I Love You

I sighed. I gazed at my phone's bright screen, staring at my girlfriend's face. I smiled slightly, but sighed. I couldn't sleep. She was off again, on a mission. I'd be lying to say that I wasn't worried everytime she left, but it was part of the job.

Why did I fall for her anyway? There were many girls who fell head over heels for me the second they saw me. But (y/n)? I fell for her first...

I glanced at my snoring brother and crept to my desk, sitting down quietly. I took out a piece of paper and a pen and began to write.

"The reasons I love her is because..." I murmured as I wrote the words on the page. I sighed and began to write.

Number one. The way you are active makes me feel confident that you're always able to run and stay safe.

Whenever you feel overrunned by demons, I'm glad to know that you will run as fast as you can. You told me the reason you ran faster than everyone else was to make sure you could get home to me. That made me feel better. 

I paused for a moment. Yes, as weird as it sounded, it was true. She is a fast runner and she can get away just as fast. I was secretly happy that I motivated her because her safely was my priority, just next to Rin's.

Number two. Even though you ran, you would stay as long as you could, making sure everyone got out safe. You'd be the last to run.

When the people of Kyoto had to evacuate due to a demon outbreak and an earthquake, you were assigned to the front lines. I was as well. Suddenly, the dim hallway of the building we were supposed to check out was blasted by a huge explosion, something that I still don't understand why it happened. Perhaps a demon? She started to yell at everyone to get out, including me. 

"I'm your commander of this team, and I said go!" You yelled at me when I insisted to stay behind and help you. I remembered I had grit my teeth so bad that I had some soreness later. When everyone had safely left and we are all outside except for you, I saw you running to me through the dark corridor. But then, a strong aftershock occurred and the building came crumbling down, with you in it. Hours later, they finally got to you and I never felt so relieved in my life.

"Aw, c'mon moley. You know I'll live!" was the first thing you said to me when you woke up in the hospital. I could not hold in my worried anger at you that day in the hospital.

Number three. You always make up cute nicknames that I blush to myself to and get slightly annoyed. Either way, they're entertaining.

'Aw, is my Yuki-Yuki okay?'

'How's my Four-Eyes doing in class?'

'Dang, Satan has a hot son. From now on, I'm going to call you, 'Yukio the Four-Eyed Mole Face With a Hot Booty'. It has a ring to it, no?'

No matter how stupid the names were, I couldn't help but glare, but never tell you to stop. You had too much fun.
