Today was the day. The day you had been waiting for for practically your whole entire life! The day you'd wear this beautiful, long white dress. Your hair would be perfect. This day would be perfect. After all, it would be the best one yet! The thought of getting married was exciting but at the same time nerve wracking. You'd have to get used to a new life style, albeit you'd be fine with it.

A knock was at the door and a voice soon followed, "Hey, [name]. Can you believe that your bridesmaids won't let me see you?" Yukio said, a light laugh came right after.

You giggled a bit and walked over to the door. "It's not my fault! They just want you to be wowed when you see me!" You joked as you played with your [h/c] hair and bit your lip. You and Yukio had been the best of friends ever since you could remember.

Through elementary school you helped him cope with seeing things no one else could see by saying you, yourself, could see something no one else could see. Not the demons he spoke of, but an imaginary friend (which probably was a demon anyway). During middle school you thought you were tough and was an absolute tomboy. You were always injured--especially since you always got in fights with Rin. Fortunately Yukio would always show up to help and for you and the navy-haired idiot to beg for each others forgiveness (or at least deal with each other until one said something and the fighting started again... That's when Father Fujimoto would step in.). In high school, Yukio helped you with your homework... although he was busy with the exorcist job he had and teaching the class. Thank heavens you weren't in that extra class--you'd be dead by now. Then again, you don't think Yukio or Rin would allow that. However, you still got tainted... It was when you, Rin, and Yukio all made a 'blood-brother' oath in middle school about something you can't really remember anymore, also there was a promise made in there somewhere... a promise you've long forgotten.

But here you are now. Getting married to the one man that you found out you loved... "Yukio.  There's going to be some major changes in our lives.... aren't there?" You ask, slightly doubting that you were suited for the married life. After all, you were one of the wildest friends anyone could meet... It'd be hard to settle down, but somehow you knew it'd work. Why else would you be in this situation.

"Yeah..." He quietly spoke. Your thoughts seemed to be on par with his. "I just wish, right now, that Dad would be able to see this moment."

You felt sorry for the twins' loss of their father-figure. The 'normal' people said that he was murded when someone ransacked the church or something. But, you knew the real reason. "Don't worry, Yuki. I bet he's watching right now! And like the pervert he is, he'll be cheering and whooping that one of his sons actually got a hot catch like me."

He laughed at your statement, used to your joking but reassuring nature. "Well, I better go get in position. I'll see you walking up the aisle, won't I? You won't bail, right?" He poked fun back at you, which only caused you to smirk.

"Definitely! I'm going to run far away from the hell that awaits me!" The sarcasm in your voice was cringe-worthy. "Hell, naw! I was pumped up for this day and I'm not backing out! You know me, I'm not a jerk."

"Haha, yeah..." The sounds of footsteps got lower and lower until the sound was completely gone.

A few seconds later, your bridesmaids and Maid of Honor  came in. Paka, Shiemi, and Izumo  were all wearing the same matching [f/c] dresses. Shura was your maid of honor, after all, she had done a lot for you through the years, and a lot for the man you were about to marry. "[name]! Quit fartin' around, you got a man to do after this!" Shura spoke, resting her hands on her hips and smiling brightly at the blush that grew over your features.

Some how, Shima got in the room. "She's right, you know. After all what else are you going to do on the honeymoon--" Izumo fortunately hit the back of Shima's head before he could finish the sentence. "I mean, what fun you're going to have--- I'm not helping am I?"

"Just shut up." Izumo scolded Shima, glaring at him. You swore the two needed to get together, but they never did in all these years, even if everyone from the academy stayed close.

"You look so beautiful in that dress, [name]!" Paku spoke up, easing the tense air in the room. "The way it highlights your natural beauty is amazing!"

Shiemi joined in the talk about how pretty you looked, "[name], I'm surprised that you didn't become a model. With your looks you could have!"

You blushed again at their kind  words, and became thankful when Shura stopped their flattery. "Okay, you guys! We got to go and get in our spots, too y'know! We got to give her some time alone to calm her nerves. After all, she is about to get married."

Your bridesmaids, and Shima, left wishing you good luck on not getting cold feet. You waited a minute, until your dad came in, told you how proud he was of you and how much you look like your mother, and then brought you behind the doors of the monastary.  Ah, now you remember the promise. If one of the three of you somehow got married, you'd persuade the finacee that the ceremony would be held at the monastary.

"Ready?" Your father said, holding his arm up for you to take.

"Always have been." You replied, wrapping your arm around his.

The doors opened and the attention of many people were all directed towards you. Mephisto and his brother... Amaimon were there. Angel was there, so was Sideburns. There was that boy Izumo, Shima, and Rin met that one day at the beach with the Kraken in highschool. That kid... he would be in his 2nd year of highschool now, wouldn't he. There was also, now who was that? He had white hair and pointed ears... blue piercing eyes too... Must be a relative of Rin and Yuki, right?

Of course, your family members were there as well. Your mother who was crying and your older sister giving you a thumbs up on your catch... your brother was practically glaring at your soon to be brother, as if to say 'you hust my little sister, you're a dead man walking...soon to be in the grave', but looked at you and smiled. Your little nieces and nephews and cousins (older ones too) all excited that they're.there.

You lifted your aze as you reah the pulpit at your soon-to-be husband, the best man, the preacher/pastor, and then back at the man who's eyes were widened at your stunning appearance.  You smile at him, reasurring that this isn't a dream. And then when you get up to stand next to him, hold his hand.

"Rin, are you happy?" You ask, holding his hand tighter.

"Why wouldn't I be? I'm getting married to the girl of my dreams!" He responds energetically.

Bon coughed, grabbing you and Rin's attention. "Please, say your vows to one another." He spoke, being the whole formal priest he is.

The two of you spoke your vows to one another. It was a rather heartfelt moment for you. "You may now kiss the bride." And then you two shared a passionate, and yet subtle kiss. You swore that Shima was about to say get a room, but Yukio stopped him.

Extra Ending

Yukio couldn't believe what he was seeing. [name] was far prettier than he could have ever imagined. Her face was glowing with happiness and her smile lit up the room when she entered. She looked beautiful in her wedding dress, and there was a sense of air to her... like she wasn't going to regret anything she had done or will do. And that was fine with him.

Being the best man at their wedding was something that he could live with.

    after the wedding

"Hey, Yukio, why are you looking so down, lil' bro?" Rin asked, walking up to the brunette, you in tow holding Rin's hand.

Yukio shook his head and smiled at the two of you, "I was only thinking about how I might never be able to settle down." He said, you caught on to the sadness in his voice.

"Haha, Yukio if I was able to actually get a girlfriend, marry her too, then I'm sure that you'll be able to find the girl of your dreams too." Rin slapped his brother on the back... but you didn't say anything.

"I can't because she's already been taken away."
