Maxon's POV

As I was carrying her, I heard her stop groaning, and felt her go limp. Crap this cannot happen. I pick up my speed, and meet the paramedics at the door. "Please help her," I say frantically. I send a prayer that she survives. I watch as the guy carries my Queen out the door.

"Your Majesty, is there anything in her family, medical wise, that we need to know about?" The other paramedic asks me.

"Her dad died of a heart attack," I say, but keep my eyes on the door where she is behind. "May I go with her?" I say more defeated.

"Yes, you can ride with her into the hospital," the paramedic says, leading me to the ambulance. I climb into the back, and see my wife laid out on a gurney, still unconscious. Her skin is a pale white, and her lips a dull pink. The only color on her, is her red hair. I want to run my hand through it, but the tubes that are around her head and going into her nose stopped me. My dear I am so sorry. Please just stay with me. Please let us be together for longer.

The ride lasted a half hour, and the paramedics were fussing over her as we got close to the hospital. "Your Majesty, when we get to the hospital, we are going to need you to let us take her. A nurse will usher you to a separate room, where she will be after the doctors do their exams to see what is going on," the paramedic says to me.

As we pull up to the hospital, America's hand starts to twitch. "We see movement," the paramedic says. "Your highness, can you hear me?" America's eyes start to open.

"Maxon," I hear her say weakly.

"I'm here, I'm right here dear," I say to her, but not getting closer because the paramedics are over her.

"Your Highness, we are taking you to the hospital, we want to do some tests, and then go from there," he explains to her. I see her nod. I am close to tears because she finally is awake, and I know she isn't dead.

When we arrive to the hospital, the two paramedics rush her into the hospital, while I am ushered to a separate room set up for any royal families. It has a Queen size bed made up with white beddings, and enough pillows for the whole family. There is a large window over looking the sea, and a bench big enough for someone to sleep in. There are three cushioned chairs for anyone who comes in to sit in.

"Is the Queen's family notified about her whereabouts yet?" I ask, turning to the nurse.

"Yes Your Majesty, the Miss Singer and her other daughter are coming in as fast as they can," she says politely, bowing her head just a little.

"Good, bring them to the room when they get here, I need to step outside for a little," I say walking past the nurse.

I need the fresh air to think through everything that happened in the past hour. I walk through the back exit, heading straight towards the beach. As I get close to the water, I start to slow down. I start to make a mental list of everything that happened this morning.

1. I woke up to America laying on my chest

2. She tried to get up

3. I heard her scream

4. I saw her laying on the ground clutching her stomach

5. I called for an ambulance

6. I tried to get her down stairs, but she passed out in my arms

7. She woke up, and my name was the first words on her lips

8. She is now in testing to figure out what is going on

Whatever happened to her, I hope they figure out how to fix it. I don't care how much it takes, I won't let her be in that pain again. I turn back, and head to the room, and wait for my wife.
