The Honeymoon

Chapter 31

America's POV

"MOMMY!!!" Ahren yells running towards me, followed by his older sister holding a broken tablet. "Mommy Eadlyn broke the tablet!" 

"No I didn't! Ahren wanted it but I was playing on it!" Eadlyn yells over her brother.

"Enough! If you two can't tell me in a calm manor you both will be punished," I yell quieting them both down. "Now Ahren tell me your side of this story ."

"Well I went to grab the tablet to play a game but Eadlyn wanted it at the same time and tried to grab it for me. I let it go but she fell and let it drop, which in the end broke," Ahren explains calmly. I look over to see Eadlyn rolling her eyes. 

"Eadlyn don't you roll your eyes. Now what is your side of the story," I say directing my attention towards my daughter.

"Well I was watching a video and just set they iPad down for a second to grab something to drink and come back to Ahren reaching for it. I told him I was using it, but he said he didn't care and that it was his turn. I asked for only a couple minutes to finish the video and he got angry and threw it," she explains looking me in the eyes and never wavering. Both sounded so convincing, but Eadlyn never would look me in the eyes if she really wanted me to side with her. 

"Eadlyn you are lying. What have we told you about lying to people!" I start and see Ahren snicker at her. "And you," I say turning to my son. "What did we tell you about purposely getting someone in trouble! I've made my decision and both of you will go without electronics for a week!" 

"But Mom-" they start to whine, but I gave them the 'don't-start-with-me' look, and they shut up real quickly. I sent them to their rooms in hope to get some quiet time to work on some papers I've been assigned. After Eadlyn proposed her idea, I got to work to see if it actually could work. As I start getting focused into the numbers I feel a pair of hands rap around me. I scream and try to strike with my head. 

"Ames it's me!" I hear a man yell before I could hit him completely. I turn in my seat to find my amazing husband with a small smirk on his face. "Good to see you know how to protect yourself if needed." We both laugh. 

"What are you up to," I say taking in his appearance. No suit jacket, top button unbuttoned and his sleeves rolled up. 

"I was working on papers but it was brought to my attention that there is something I need to take care of, but when I saw you, here looking so beautiful I just had to stop and see you," he says leaning in for a kiss. I lean up too and we have a passionate kiss for what seems to go on for hours, but in reality it was only a couple of minutes. Once we pulled away I could see all of his love in his eyes.

"What is so important that you need to go right away," I say looking up at him seductively. 

"Nothing compared to being with you," he smiles back before swooping down and picking me up bridal style, and carries me up to our bedroom where he makes love to me for hours.
