Maxon POV
I am awakened by a shrilling scream coming from the crib that sits at the other end of the bed. Without thought I get up to go see who I need to calm down. It is Eadlyn. She hasn't been sleeping very well. As I pick her up, I hear America stand and walk over to me.
"Do you need any help?" She asks, just peaking at the little babe I have in my arms.
"Do you still have formula made up in the fridge?" I ask mentioning the small refrigerator we had put in our room, which has three bottles of formulated milk that i can use to help feed the twins.
"Yes just let me heat it up," she says, but I stop her.
Don't worry sweetly, go back to bed I can do it," I say going to the fridge. When I turn around America is still standing there watching me. "Honey I'll be okay, you take care of them all day, the least I can do is take care of them at night so you can rest."
She nods. I put the bottle into the microwave for 30 seconds, and walk over to her and gently nudge her to go back to bed. By the time the microwave beeps, I get her to at least lay down. I check the formula on my wrist and find it is perfect for Eadlyn to eat. With the baby in one arm and the bottle in my other hand, I walk back to bed, and sit there letting Eadlyn drink as much as she wants. I look to my left to see America's eyes watching me.
"You are a natural with the kids Maxon," she says before giving me a kiss and falling asleep. I sit there looking into my beautiful baby girl's hazel eyes, and think of how America's statement is so true. After awhile Eadlyn finally fell asleep in my arms as I start to nod off. I quietly get up to put Eadlyn back in her crib, and come back to sleep next to my wonderful wife.
