Maxons POV

The siren starts to blare in the middle of a meeting. All the officials stand up, and start to file to the corner where a stairway that leads to the safe room is. I follow once they are all out of the room, and make my way to the room. I look in to see that my wife isn't here yet, and I start to worry. She was in her office, so she should be here any minute. I wait outside of the room of her. I know these are the ruthless southerners because we now have an alliance with the Northerners. As the time goes on, and my wife doesn't come down, my anxiety starts to sky rocket. Where is she! I see someone running down the hallway, but before I could get my hops up, I see the uniform of a guard.

"Your Majesty, the Queen is safe. She couldn't make it down here in time from the gardens. Said there was to much stress. I found her a safe room upstairs, and she is secure in it," the guard explains. I nod, and my anxiety stays up. To much stress. Is she okay? Where is she. The guard informed me that I should head in the room so they can lock the the room up. I pray to god that she is safe. I don't sit in the chair that is mine because right next to it is the seat for America. I keep worrying about her, and wondering how she is doing. I wished she wouldn't have gone out to the gardens, she would have been with me now.

I pace the floor for whatever amount of time until a guard notified me about doing a final search before letting us go. I know they are looking for more rebels, but I just can't wait to get my wife back into the safety off my arms. I stand as close as I can to the door, so that when the guard notified me that it was safe, I ran up the closest stairwell, and go searching for my wife.
