.Chapter 19- Part II.
Maddie's POV
"Wake up, we're here," someone nudged me lightly. I groaned and turned the other way. I just wanted to sleep okay. "Maddelyn..." that same voice said.
I hummed in response, keeping my eyes closed. I heard him sigh as he shut his door. Then, I heard a click and the door of the passenger seat, where I was in, opened. Still half knocked out, I let him pick me up and carry me bridal style towards wherever we were going.
Pretty soon, I was sleeping again and I turned my head to the side and buried it in his chest, smiling at the warmth it brought me.
"I guess we can just talk tomorrow," he said and I could hear the smile in his voice as he whispered, "Night Lynn," and I was out cold.

I woke up in a large bed and rubbing my eyes, I looked around to see where I was. Hm... this place seemed familiar. Oh. That was when realisation struck. I was in Carter's bedroom. Again. Suddenly last night's events all came rushing back to me.
I looked down. Hold on, since when was I in this oversized shirt and this shorts? I touched my hair to find it in a curly mess, the braids undone. I walked into the bathroom to take a look at my face. The cut was taken care of and had a plaster over it.
On the sink counter there was a packaged toothbrush and toothpaste with a sticky-note beside them saying, "Good morning :)". I quickly washed up and fixed my hair in a bun.
Stepping out of his bedroom, I saw Carter by the stove cooking breakfast, not to mention shirtless. "C-carter, did you change me?"
Turning off the stove, he whipped his head around. "Holy sh- I would never. Last night or rather, this morning, you woke up at 3am and I passed you some spare clothes I had lying around and you went to take a shower." My mouth formed an 'o' as he explained.
Placing the plates down on the table, he then gestured for me to go sit down with him. For the first few minutes we sat in silence, slowly consuming the food. Then he sighed. "So, first of all, Maddelyn, I'm sorry. Just for everything in general," he spoke, looking genuinely apologetic. "Could you just listen to what I have to say just this once?" he pleaded.
"I guess so," I complied, shifting in my seat slightly uncomfortably.
"So, the real reason I, well in lack of better words, kissed that girl. It was really to just trick everyone into thinking that you know we weren't really into each other. I knew you wouldn't like all the attention. I messed up previously because we showed up to school in the same car."
My mouth dropped when my brain registered the information. "So you guys didn't do anything else?"
"Nope, I immediately ditched her after 5 seconds. I'm so sorry Maddelyn, I didn't plan it out so well, I never intended to hurt you. Could you erm... forgive me?"
He was sincere, I'll just trust him and hope I make the right decision. Sighing, I nodded my hesd slowly,"I'll forgive you but if you want to do stuff like this again, at least warn me first."
"I will," he shot me a smile that made my insides turn to goo. I now had a faint blush on my cheeks and tried to hide it by bringing my hands up to my face.
"Hey, don't hide your face, you look cute when you blush," At that statement, my face got even redder.
"Let's spend the day out, no flirting with each others' best friends and all," he says jokingly.
"Sorry about that, it was part of the revenge plan."
"Wow, you guys were really plotting against me huh?" He smirks.
