.Chapter 13.

Fast forward just like a few days later, like only 3, I just woke up. At like 7 am. On a Sunday. Strange right? I think the universe is trying to tell me something. I check my phone. Is it like some special day tod-

Holy. CRAP. ITS MY BIRTHDAY! I scream mentally. I sit up, excitement coursing through my veins, ready to start this new amazing day as ice-cold water splashes me right in the face. My jaw drops as my lips contorts into a frown. Only one person would do this to me on my birthday.

"MOM!" I bellow at her.

She doubles over laughing. I swear she's always so mean. Hmph.

"Happy birthday honey!" she exclaims, with too much enthusiasm. Upon leaving, she informed me that my friends were here. Again.

Seriously though. Its my birthday. Can't I lay in bed for a little longer? Dang. Yo wait. How did they get Cody out of bed?

I peek outside the door and there he is, sound asleep on my couch. I quickly wash up and meet them outside. "What're you guys doing here?"

"For your birthday? Duh." Amber remarks.

I narrow my eyes at her, hands on my hips.

"Okay, okay, its what we call Operation Maddie-Is-Boring-And-Needs-Our-Help."Malcolm says.

"Excuse me?" I nearly shriek.

"Er...no offence?"

"None taken,"I mutter.

"C'mon let's get you changed," the girls say as they push me inside.

Okay seriously what is up with these people? Eva is probably desperate to leave the room because of our Wes boy over there but all this still seems awfully suspicious.

They raid my closet and throw together an outfit I'd never have worn before. Its cute and all but I dunno about this...

"Go change into it, your date is waiting."

Wait WHAT? Date? Who? What? HUH?

I begin to stutter as I try to get the words out to ask them but I am harshly shoved into the washroom. It doesn't look bad but who is my date. I didn't agree to this.

I exit the toilet to find them stuffing a spare set of clothes and a towel into my bag. Seriously can someone please tell me WHAT is happening here?

"My Maddie finally looks amazing for once. Great job girls," my mom remarks as we leave the room.

"Mom!" See, she's always so mean to me, even on my birthday.

"Let's go, your date is waiting."Eva says.

"Who is my supposed 'date'?"

Seriously I don't want to be kept in the dark any longer y'all. They lead me downstairs to where a sleek, matte black Bentley is waiting.

The driver, dressed casually in a navy blue shirt and black pants steps out.

No. Way. Holy Moly. Its really him.
