A Slave for a Vampire

Chapter SEVEN

FALLEN

SHE DIDN'T KNOW HOW LONG she's been out but once she finally awakened, Richard was gently stroking her cheek. She didn't move a muscle; she just slowly opened her eyes just to see that she was tied to the bed by her wrists.

"I am truly sorry Mindy, but you left me no choice at all," Richard said to her with this pain in his eyes.

"Richard, just let me go," Mindy demanded him but he just looked down at her and shook his head no. She tried to fight against the ropes, to see in some way she could get out of them but each time she pulled them they would just get tighter and tight causing her such pain.

"Mindy, stop that already, please. You're not going to win and just cause nothing but pain upon yourself."

Mindy looked away from him, and whispered to him, "Go away."

He sighed and got up, he slowly lends down and kissed her on the cheek, "I'll be back soon." He turned and walked out of the room. She just laid there fighting against the ropes all alone. Mindy kept trying in which made her wrists start bleeding.

So, she just laid there with nothing at all to do, she thought to herself, "Come on how could I manage to be alright with all this if I had no idea what was going on". Mindy must have really been thinking about things because she didn't feel herself fall asleep.

She didn't know what time it was when she felt Richard waking her up once again by stroking her hair. He gave her this small smile and the put a glass of water up to her lips, in which she tilted upwards so that she was able to drink.

"Mindy, I am sorry," he told me once again. Knowing that she might not understand all that is going on within the castle or within himself. Trying to make sure she was safe for everything out in the world.

"If you're so sorry then why are you doing this to me?" Mindy asked him, he seemed like he wanted to say something to her but all he could do was get up and walk away.

"I don't understand any of this at all, first you treat me like shit, a slave and then you have the choice and sent me free but they you ask me to never leave you and now you have me tried up to the bed. What the hell is going on here! Why are you choosing to do all of this to me?" She could feel herself begging him for some answers, feeling the angry grow inside of her in which made tears swell up in her eyes.

"I---," he paused for a moment, "Mindy, in all of this I've fallen in love with you, and I don't want anything to happen to you or get hurt in any way," he finally spoke to her and slowly returned to her side on the bed. "I hate having to do this to you, tying you up like this but the truth is there are other vampires here right now and I...." he trailed off for a moment, "Their dangerous." He told her finally.

Mindy was still in stock over the whole thing but knowing that he was doing this to protect her felt different inside of her, because no one has ever watched over her like this at all. But the mean thing was him telling her that he loves her and all she could say to him was, "What did you say?"

"That I truly have fallen in love with you, Mindy."

She didn't know what came over her, but she felt this smile spread across my face, even do she was tied to this bed and all, but Mindy couldn't help feeling this warmth inside my heart.

"So please Mindy, just try to understand this," he softly said to her and lend down and gave her a kiss upon her lips, and before she could re-open her eyes, he was gone but Mindy could still feel his lips upon her's.
