A Slave for a Vampire

Chapter SEVENTEEN

MINDY OPENED HER EYES, having to blink because she didn't notice where she was at. But there was someone moving besides her. She noticed she was lying on a soft bed, almost feeling like a cloud. Slowly her vision become clear, and she noticed that she was in their bedroom once again and she began to wonder what she was doing in this room not knowing that Richard had grabbed her up and rushed her back up to the room.

"Richard?" Mindy mumbled, he slowly raised his head to look at her, he seemed exhausted. She slowly moved a hand towards him and that's when she noticed that the chain was gone. So, she tried to move closer to him, but her body wouldn't react at all. She didn't know what was going on.

"Please Mindy, don't move just lay there still," he told her. Tears began to swell up in her eyes as he pulled her into his chest. So, she did, she went ahead and cried into his purple shirt.

"I'm so sorry Mindy, but I hope you know that I believe you, I believe in you. So just relax everything is going to be alright now." She couldn't say anything to him; her body began to tremble as she cried.

After a few minutes he mumbled to her, "I thought I was going to lost you forever."

"You were truly angry with me," she told him.

"I should have believed in you; I should have listened to you instead of acting the way I did." He explained to her.

"Richard, you were angry and didn't think of what you were doing," she said, just hoping that she would be able to stay with him. His throat seemed sore and all she wanted to do was sleep in his arms. So that's what she did, as Richard watched over her, she knows that tonight the nightmares would stop even if it's just for a moment.

When Mindy finally woke up again, she didn't know how long she had been out, but all she did know is that it was morning. She sat up in bed and looked around for Richard, but he wasn't in the bed or in the room.

"Richard," Mindy called out for him but there was no answer. So, she slowly got out of bed and realized that she was wearing her purple night gown. So, she grabbed her robe in which in some small way she was glad that it was still hanging on the bed post. She then slipped on some house shoes before she could reach the door someone lightly knocked.

"Richard, is that you?" Mindy questionably asked. But it was Eddie and before he could get a word out, she asked him, "Where is Richard?"

"I don't know, you should get back into bed, Mindy, just look at you, you could barely stand?" Eddie said to her as he walked towards her.

"Please just let me know where he is," she said to him, as she was getting an idea already, at where Richard could be and hoping that he wasn't there making himself feel worst.

"Mindy, stop trying to get some kind of idea to get out of here, so don't be stupid, just please get into bed," Eddie said to her.

"O please, what are you going to do? Are you going to tie me up to the bed or something?" she said play with him.

"No, I'm not going to do that," he began. Then in one quick movement he scooped her up and placed her back onto the bed. "I'm simply going to put you here into bed and not leave here until you fall asleep."

"OMG, this is the most stupid....... Thing you had done."

"Mindy....." he started off saying, "Good night," he mumbled and stroke away some hair from her face, then he sweetly tucked the covers around her and lend in a kissed my forehead, "You know, you're like a little sister to me, I really enjoy having you here and making my brother happy, I know he's hard to love but one thing is he does love you."
