I Need A Hero Vol 3 {Peter Quill}

Everyone regrouped in the dining hall. When Rocket, Drax, Mantis, Nebula and Kraglin noticed that Quentin and Helena were with the others, they did not look happy.

"What are those two idiots doing here?" Rocket said.

"They're going to help us" Gamora said.

"WHAT!?"

"Are we really foolish enough to accept help from two failed murderers?" Nebula said.

"Look, I know what they've done to us in the past is unforgivable but we're going to need all the help we can get" Gamora turned to Damien. "Would you mind taking Quentin and Helena back to the ship?"

"Of course, my love" Damien said. He kissed Gamora's cheek before taking the two of them to  the ship. Gwen watched as they walked away. Helena tried turning around to meet her sister's eyes, but Gwen wouldn't look at her.

"Still mad at Helena, are ya?" Rocket said

"What do you think, you moron!?" Gwen snapped at Rocket. 

"Hey, no need to whine at me like that. I mean I get you're upset---"

"Upset? I'm not upset"

"You do seem very upset Gwen" Mantis said.

"She is not upset. She is angry" Drax said.

"I'm both, okay! How could my mother think that we'd want their help, after all they've done to us!" Gwen said. She was becoming so enraged that she was starting to glow purple, due to her anger powering up her energy. Peter placed his hands on her shoulders.

"Honey, calm down. It looks like you're going to explode. Literally" Peter said. She looked up at him and immediately felt her nerves settle. He gave her a kiss. "We're stuck with them until the Thanos threat is taken care of"

"I know. I can't make any promises about forgiving them, especially Helena but we should try to get along with them. That goes for all of us"

"I am Groot"

"Normally I'd get mad for him using that kind of language, but he is right about them so I'm going to let it slide" Rocket said.

"I think we should head back to the ship. We need to start looking for Thanos before he gets to any of the Infinity Stones" Gamora said.

"You guys go on ahead but we need to speak with Kraglin" Peter said. Everyone except Kraglin made their way to the ship.

"What's going on Captains?" Kraglin asked

"We were wondering if you could stay here and keep an eye on Meredith?" 

"I can do that, but what about this prophecy? I thought the old man said that Meredith was going to defeat Thanos"

"I don't trust the prophecy. Meredith is only four. If she was in front of Thanos, he could kill her in an instant and I don't want that happening" Gwen said.

"Are you sure you don't mind staying here to watch over Meredith?" Peter asked

"I'm sure Pete. Meredith is family and you do anything for family"

When Gwen and Peter went back to the ship, they noticed that Quentin and Helena were handcuffed to a bar.

"What did you two do?" Peter asked.

"Nothing. As soon as the others got back, Rocket and Drax handcuffed us to this bar" Quentin said.

"I don't blame them" Gwen said.

"Sister, can you please just uncuff us? We're not gonna try anything, we promise" Helena said.

"Let me think about it. Nope" Gwen walked off to the bridge of the ship. When she was out of sight, Peter uncuffed them.

"Look you two, I'm not saying I forgive you because I don't, but I am trusting you two. Just don't take it personally if the others have trouble trusting you" Peter said.

"Thank you Quill" Quentin said. Helena just gave a sad smile and walked off. "She's feels really bad about what she did to Gwen. Four years in prison changed her. Is there any chance that Gwen would forgive her?"

"I can't promise that" At that moment, Gamora had joined them.

"Peter. We're getting a distress call"
