I Need A Hero Vol 3 {Peter Quill}

The man had introduced himself as Thor, and he explained how Thanos destroyed the ship he was on and killed his people, one of them being his brother. He sat wrapped in a blanket while eating a bowl of soup. He listened to Gamora but his eyes were fixated on Gwen.

"The entire time I knew Thanos, he only ever had one goal. To bring balance to the Universe by wiping out half of all life. He used to kill people planet by planet, massacre by massacre" Gamora explained

"Including my own" Drax said

"If he gets all six Infinity Stones, he can do it with the snap of his fingers, like this" Gamora snapped her fingers.

"You seem to know a great deal about Thanos" Thor said

"Gamora... is the daughter of Thanos" Drax said.

"Your father killed my brother" Thor said to Gamora.

"Here we go" Gwen muttered to herself.

"Stepfather. Technically, she hates him as much as you do" Peter stepped in. For a moment, it seemed like Thor was going to take a hit at Gamora. Instead, he placed his hand on her shoulder.

"Family can be tough. Look. Before my father died, he told me I had a half-sister...that he imprisoned in Hell. Then she returned home, and stabbed me in the eye, so... I had to kill her. It's life, there was nothing else. I feel your pain" he said

"I feel your pain, as well. I mean it's not a competition, but I've been through a lot. My father killed my mother, then I had to kill my father. And that was hard. Probably even harder than having to kill a sister. Plus, I, came out with both of my eyes" Peter said. He turned to Gwen. "Tell him about your sister"

"Did she try to kill you as well?" Thor asked. He stepped right in front of Gwen, getting too close for Peter's liking.

"Are you kidding me? She tried to kill all of us" Gwen said. Thor sympathized with her by placing his hand on her arm. This made Peter step in between them.

"She also tried to ruin our marriage" he said. Thor looked between them, letting his eyes linger on Gwen for a moment. He held up his spoon.

"I need a hammer. Not a spoon" Thor said. He began typing random codes onto the data screen beside him. "How do I open this thing? Is there some sort of a four-digit code maybe? Maybe a birth date or something..."

"What are you doing?" Rocket asked.

"Taking your pod"

"No, you're not! You'll not, be taking our pod today, sir" Peter said. He tried to deepen his voice, attempting to imitate Thor's.

"Quill. Are you making your voice deeper?" Rocket asked

"No"

"You are. You're imitating the god-man. It's weird" Drax said

"No, I'm not"

"He just did it again!" Mantis said

"This is my voice!"

"Are you mocking me?" Thor asked

"Are you mocking me?"

"Are you trying to copy me?"

"He's trying to copy me" Peter said, turning his head and looking towards Gwen.

"Peter, that's enough with the voice" she warned.

"We need to stop Thanos. Which means we need to find out where he's going next" Gamora said.

"Knowhere" Thor said
