I Need A Hero Vol 3 {Peter Quill}

Meanwhile in an unknown place....

Peter's eyes opened. He was laying down and he could feel grass against the palm of his hand. He looked around at the barren land, noticing that there were others beginning to wake up as well.

"Gwen? Star-Princess? Where are you?" Peter called out for his wife. He got up and looked around desperately for her but she couldn't be found. He did however find Drax, Mantis and Groot.

"Quill, there you are" Drax said.

"Guys, have you seen Gwen any where? I need her! I need to kiss her, hold her and tell her how much I love her!" 

"I haven't seen female Quill anywhere"

"Neither have I" Mantis said.

"I am Groot" Peter knew that Groot said he hadn't seen her.

"We've gotta find her. She has to be around here somewhere" Peter said.

"You aren't going to find her here" a familiar voice said. The four of them turned to see Gamora standing in front of them.

"Gamora! You're alive!" Peter pulled her into a hug. "Gwen is gonna be so happy that you're—wait, what do you mean I'm not gonna find her?"

"When Thanos snapped his fingers, half of the universe was wiped from existence. They ended up here. Gwen was one of the ones who got to stay"

"So, I'm never gonna see my wife again?" Peter's eyes brimmed with tears. Gamora gave him an apologetic look and placed her hand on his shoulder.

"I'm so sorry Peter"

"Gamora, where exactly is here?" Drax said.

"We're inside the Soul Stone" she explained.

"Heads up! We're about to land" Gwen said. Her and the others made it to Wakanda where Rocket was waiting with Thor and his new friends. She landed the ship and looked to Helena, Nebula and Stark. "Stark, you okay?"

"Yeah, I guess I'm just a little tired" he said.

"Why don't you go lay down? One of us will wake you when we get to Kosmo. The bunks are below deck"

"Thanks Quill" Stark got up and followed Gwen's directions to the bunks. She sat staring out the window for a moment. Her sadness was slowly turning into anger. She could feel the energy heating through her body.

"Gwen, you okay?" Nebula asked.

"Yeah. Let's just get Rocket and then head to Kosmo. I've been worrying about Meredith and need to make sure that she didn't....you know"

Rocket and the others watched as a ship landed in front of them. The door opened and out walked Gwen, Nebula and Helena. Rocket approached them.

"Quill, I can't tell you how happy I am to see you" he said.

"The feelings mutual" Gwen said

"Really? It don't look like it"

"She's been through a lot Rocket. Whatever you do, don't touch her. At least not for a couple days yet" Helena said. Nebula looked up and noticed the group of people staring at them.

"These friends of yours?" she asked.

"Uh, yeah. These are The Avengers that Thor was tellin' us about. They're coming with us" Rocket explained. Gwen nodded at him and looked up at The Avengers. Thor was the first one to approach her.

"Gwen, am I happy to see you" he said. He started reaching for her shoulder.

"I wouldn't touch her if I were you. She's really mad right now. That's a bad thing for Kosmonians" Helena warned.

"What's the worst that a comforting touch of the shoulder can do?" The moment Thor's hand touched Gwen's shoulder, he was sent flying back.

"She tried to warn you" Nebula said. Thor stood back up, slightly surprised at what just happened.

"I think I like her even more now" he said.

"We can save the handshakes for later. You must be Gwen. I'm Steve Rogers" He smiled politely at Gwen, and she smiled back.

"Nice to meet you. This is Nebula and my sister, Helena" Gwen introduced. Next the blonde woman stepped up.

"Natasha Romanoff and can I just say, I love your hair" she said.

"Thanks. This is natural believe it or not"

"What race of alien are you?" Bruce asked.

"We're Kosmonian" Helena said.

"That would be Dr. Bruce Banner" Natasha said.

"And this is James Rhodey" Steve motioned towards the man who was armour like Starks, except for the fact it was grey.

"It's nice to meet you" Rhodey said. Okoye stepped up.

"We have been told you are a Queen" she said.

"Yes. I'm the Queen of my planet"

"Well, if we are going with you, I will protect you as if you were my own Queen" Okoye said.

"You really don't have do that. It's okay" Gwen could see the look on her face that she was serious. "Alright. If there's anything left you need to do or if anyone else is coming along, get them now because I really need to get back home. I fear what has happened to my people"

Everyone had boarded the ship, and were now on the way to Kosmo. Gwen, Rocket, Nebula and Helena also met Shuri. She was the younger sister of T'Challa. Okoye insisted that she was to come along. Gwen was sitting in the captains chair when the screen next to her had an incoming call. She answered it and her father appeared on the screen.

"Father, is everything alright?" she asked.

"Gwen, something happened. Half of our people just disappeared. Turned to dust" Xavier said.

"I knew it. Anything else? Is Meredith okay? Kraglin and Lylla, are they okay?"

"Yes they're fine, but there is something else. It's your mother. She was one of the ones...." Gwen's face was that of pure shock. She thought it was bad enough that she lost half her friends, her husband and her brother, but now she lost her mother as well. "You need to come home Gwen. The people need to know that you're okay"

"I'm on my way dad. I'll be there as soon as I can"

"Daughter, where's Peter? Where's my son?" Gwen closed her eyes and took a deep sigh.

"Dad, do I have a lot to tell you when I get home"
