I Need A Hero Vol 3 {Peter Quill}

Gwen went back to Thor with all kind of emotions running through her head. Anger, guilt and shame were just some of the things she felt. When she got back to the garden, she completely ignored Thor, but picked up Meredith.

"Gwen" Thor tried getting her attention but she ignored him. "Gwen, are you alright?"

"No! I'm not!" Gwen snapped. "I just arrested my sister because she was planning to kill me and my daughter for Thanos! Now she's going to be executed. What else is wrong, oh yeah, I kissed you!"

"Gwen, I understand you're angry, but don't say or do anything you're going to regret. Like arresting your sister"

"Regret? The only thing I regret is kissing you! You just waltz into my life thinking you can replace my husband but you're not gonna!"

"That's not my intention. I never want to do that and I never want you to forget him"

"Stop with the lies! You know what? Why don't you leave me alone and never talk to me again?"

"If that's what you want then very well. You'll never have to see me again Gwen Quill" Thor said. He wiped a tear from his face before leaving Gwen. He knew she probably didn't mean it, but it still hurt.

"Mommy, that was mean" Meredith said.

"You know, sweetheart. Sometimes adults are mean to each other. That's how life works" Gwen said.

Gwen left Meredith with Natasha and Bruce since they agreed to watch her for a bit. Gwen really needed to be alone. Maybe even for a day or two. As soon as she got to her room, she slammed her door shut. She felt like the room had gotten smaller and she was finding it hard to breath. She was so angry and upset at the same time. She grabbed a vase off her dresser and threw it at the wall.

"Peter," she started, tears rimming her eyes. "I need you with me! I can't be here without you! You may never be coming back and that thought terrifies me. I love you so much Peter and I can't bear to live without you!"

Gwen just completely broke down at that point. She fell to the floor and curled up in the fetal position. She spent the next five hours crying in her room until she ran out of tears.

Gamora was watching her with heartbreak and tears. After Peter told
everyone what happened, he broke down so Gamora decided to watch Gwen for a bit.

"Gwen, I'm so sorry you're going through all this" Gamora said. She needed to find Peter and tell him what was happening. When she got back to the group, she noticed that Peter and Wanda were missing. "Where'd they go?"

"Where did who go?" Drax asked.

"Peter and Wanda"

"They said something about a walk. Wanda said it would get Peter's mind off of Gwen" Bucky explained.

"Okay. I'm gonna go find them"

"Can I go with you Miss Gamora?" Parker asked.

"Of course you can Peter" she said. She and Parker went off to find Peter and Wanda.

"I'm just saying, why not make a gun that can fire mini bombs? How cool would that be?" Rocket asked Lylla. The two of them were walking down the hallway.

"As fun as it sounds, it also sounds really dangerous" Lylla said.

"I know. That's what the fun part is" Rocket noticed Thor approaching them. "Hey Thor"

"Rabbit. Squirrel" Thor said. Lylla looked to Rocket.

"Did he just call me squirrel?" she asked.

"It's a compliment. Anyways, what's wrong Thor? It looks like someone hurt your feelings" Rocket said.

"It was Gwen. She got very mad at me because I kissed her—"

"Whoa, whoa, you kissed Quill? No wonder she's mad"

"She kissed me back, though she later said she regretted it right after she arrested her sister and put her down for execution"

"She arrested Helena and she's planning to kill her? That doesn't sound like Gwen at all"

"She's been through a lot you two. Shes not herself. She's lucky she still has Meredith otherwise I think Gwen would....you know. Anyways, did she say why she arrested Helena?" Lylla asked.

"No. Not a word" Thor said.

"Maybe we should find out. Helena's down in the cells. Let's go talk to her" Rocket said.

"Wanda, I just don't understand why she would do that to me. I thought she loved me" Peter said.

"And she still does Peter. Just because someone moves on, doesn't mean they stop loving the first one they loved" Wanda explained.

"But she knows I'm not dead"

"Yes, but she probably thinks you're never coming back. She can't wait an eternity if that's how long it takes"

"I guess but still" Peter said. He couldn't help but notice how....beautiful Wanda was. He couldn't help himself so he started leaning in. Wanda kept him away with a stream of psionic energy.

"Peter, what are you doing?" she asked.

"I'm sorry but I need to. Just one kiss. Please?" he said.

"Fine. Just one but I don't approve of this. Mostly because I feel like you're doing this to get back at Gwen" Wanda stopped pushing Peter away. The moment his lips touched hers, they both melted into the kiss. Peter's hands found their way around Wanda's waist and Wanda wrapped her arms around Peter's neck.

"Peter! Wanda!" Gamora called out.

"Mr. Quill! Miss Maximoff!" Parker called. The two of them continued searching until they finally found them. Only they were locking lips in a passionate kiss.

"Peter Jason Quill!" Peter and Wanda pulled away, looking towards Gamora and Parker. They both had a look of shame. Gamora walked over to Peter.

"Gamora, I know how this looks—" Peter was cut off when Gamora slapped him. "Ow, what the hell!?"

"How could you do this to Gwen?" Gamora scolded.

"Me? What's her excuse?"

"You know you're going to be with her again. She doesn't know that. And besides, you're only kissing Wanda as revenge, aren't you?"

"So what if I was? Besides, Gwen doesn't even care about me anymore"

"I've been watching her and do you know what happened? She had a breakdown! She locked herself in her room and she's been crying! She was talking to you, hoping that you could hear her voice!"

"Oh my God" Peter sat down and put his face in his hands. "I'm so stupid!"

"I'll say you are. Wanda, just know I don't blame you for this. This is his fault"

"I did try to stop him" Wanda said. She herself started having a guilty conscience for betraying Vision. Even if he was dead.

Rocket, Lylla and Thor made their way down to the cells. Helena was in the first one they came across.

"Rocket! Lylla!" Helena said. When she saw Thor, she glared at him. "You"

"Helena, why did Gwen put you in here?" Lylla asked

"She believes I'm a traitor. That I've been working for Thanos"

"Well, are you?" Rocket asked. Lylla smacked him in the back of his head.

"Of course not, but she doesn't believe me. I need your guys' help. Find the real traitor, and you need to do it in three days. Otherwise I'll be wrongly executed"

"We will find this traitor and prove to Gwen that you are innocent. You have our word" Thor said.

"Thanks. Still don't like you though"
