The battle went on and illusions filled the field. Even though I knew they were illusions, my mental strength wasn't good so I also got caught up in them.

I roll my eyes when Gokudera kept accusing Chrome of being Mukuro, but he's not Tsuna; he doesn't know what Mukuro's presence feels like. What am I talking about, I don't either.

I watch Mammon reveal himself as the Arcobaleno Viper, and Fantasma evolve from a frog to a serpent that bites its own tail. The three pacifiers glowed and his secret was out. This is when the battle starts to get serious.

I rub my arms to warm them when Mammon took control of the illusions and created ice pillars from Chrome's own illusion.

Mammon froze Chrome's legs and knocked her across the gym. She slammed her back onto an ice pillar and fell to the floor. Her staff was a few feet away from her and she scrambled to get it back into her hands. I watch as Mammon destroys the staff and Chrome started coughing. My eyes flicker to Ken and Chikusa who were watching the scene with worried expressions.

I shiver when Chrome's stomach caved in, a sign that her organs were missing. Everyone was confused, wondering if it was an illusion.

"It's not," Mammon explained. "It seems like this girl's life was prolonged thanks to illusory organs."

"Illusory organs?!"

"That's why when she lost control of the illusion, her abdomen collapsed."

I could hear Chrome mumbling, most likely calling out to Mukuro as a tear slipped down her face.

A shiver passed down my spine and I snapped my head around. What the...? Tsuna also looked shaken and scared. Mukuro?

How was I able to feel his presence? I look at Chrome and see mist covering the field.

"He's coming!" Tsuna shouted, grabbing the attention of everyone as he lowered his head in fear. "Rokudo Mukuro is coming!"

The mist wrapped around Chrome and dispersed. The staff hit the ground and broke its way to the little illusionist, knocking him to the ground. Mukuro stood up, chuckling.

"It's been a while," He said turning his head in our direction. "I'm back from the other side of the reincarnation cycle."

I huffed. Liar...

"Now I remember that name..." Mammon said, getting up. "Rokudo Mukuro. The same name as someone who attempted to escape the Vindice prison a month ago."

"Eh?!"

"But, it was a failed attempt. He got caught and threw back into the prison, this time in a darker, colder place where escape is nearly impossible."

Everyone had shocked faces, Mukuro gave everyone a side glance before laughing.

"It seems like the information net of the Varia isn't so well informed after all. I'm right here, aren't I?"

Mammon's mouth seemed to go into a deeper frown and the air started to get chilly once again. "You're such a troublesome guy. Let's wrap this up; you're just an illusion created by the girl, aren't you."

"Even you can feel that he's not an illusion, Mammon." I muttered as cold air blasted through the gym. "Don't kid yourself."

I shiver and cross my arms, trying to retain body heat as I watched Mammon freeze our guardian. Everyone watched in horror as Mukuro's body froze up.

"I'm not so nice as to let myself be beat by an illusion created by an illusionist." Mammon said, high up in the air. His face changed into a hammer and he flew towards Mukuro's frozen body. "The one who will be smashed to pieces will be the body of the girl."
