The next few days were uneventful. School passed, I did Committee duties, took care of Yuujin, etc. I wasn't able to spend as much time with the group as I thought I would; I ended up being so busy with school work and Committee duties that I haven't been with anyone from the Vongola except Hibari.
Dad was stationed in Tokyo this time around, but booked a hotel there for a quicker commute. We didn't mind, he could pop in when he was free. For the past few days, he called to check in on us since we were finally in the same time zone and not be 13 hours apart.
The second week after I came back from my five minute trip to the future, we had a group assignment and the four of us paired up. Tsuna came up to Yamamoto and I, and Gokudera reluctantly followed. We pulled the desks together and immediately worked on the assignment. It was surprising, how well the four of us actually worked together.
Gokudera didn't seem too angry today, wearing his glasses, and Yamamoto was diligently doing his work and listening to what Gokudera was saying, following his instructions. Tsuna was listening to Gokudera as well, and giving some thoughts to what he was saying. I was the one who wrote down our answers on the paper, watching in amazement at how this roughly patched team worked when not fooling around.
We finished early and I sat back for a second to stretch my arms and legs. "So you guys can work well together when it counts, huh."
Gokudera grumbled and looked away, a pissed-off expression on his face. Yamamoto chuckled and Tsuna gave a little smile.
"How has life been for you guys?" I ask. "Anything interesting happen? Anything concerning the Vongola?"
Tsuna visibly flinched, Gokudera snapped his head to me and glared, and Yamamoto simply shook his head to answer my question.
"Nothing to report, Miss Manager." Yamamoto said, giving me a half-hearted salute.
"Yamamoto, baseball season is over and I'm not planning on becoming the manager next season, so you really don't have to call me 'Miss Manager' anymore." I sigh. "Anyways, at least you get to enjoy some peace and quiet for now? Who knows when you might run into some trouble anyways."
"Satsuki-san," I perk up at Tsuna using my first name. "Do you really want to involve yourself in something like this?" He asked in a hushed tone. "You do know that we're... mafia... right?"
I give him a small smile. "I thought you didn't want to be part of the mafia. But yes, I know, and I want to be involved."
... Do I really?
"You guys are my friends, and you guys are good people. It doesn't matter if you're in the mafia or not, or if you have these powers that no one else has. What's important is what you do with those powers: to protect those you care about, or to harm and kill others."
Tsuna nodded and looked at the teacher as they announced the end of class. He turned back to us. "I'll see you guys at lunch."

There was no Committee duties after school today, so I was able to walk home with the trio. I watch as the usual bickering and laughing between the Storm and Rain guardians ensued and Tsuna was waving his hands as usual, trying to appease the arguing. Suddenly, the tension rose as the three of them suddenly froze and whipped around to face the front.
My eyes widen in confusion and I turn my attention to the front and see two people in black suits holding guns. "Wha-"
Tsuna swallowed the Hyper Dying Will Mode pills Basil gave him and pulled his gloves on. Gokudera shoved his hands in his pockets, pulling dynamites out, cigarette hanging from his mouth. Yamamoto's face was turned to a frown, his hand on the Shigure Kintoki sword hanging from his back.
