13. Preparations

An hour later, they all met up in another room as Haru and Kyoko were cooking, away from the situation at hand. Ryohei stood at the front with Tsuna and beside him and Satsuki at the side of the table.

"A source told the Varia about you guys and that you came here from ten years ago, that's where I heard about it, too. Only the surviving top members of Vongola and its affiliates know about it... though there are still many that don't believe it."

"By affiliate family... you mean Dino-san's Cavallone family too?"

"Yup, as well as a branch of the CEDEF, the Arcano, which is managed by Satsu's father, Fujimiya Naoki."

It was silent for a couple of seconds before everyone shouted at the same time, turning their heads to the said woman.

"EHHHHHH?!!!"

Sastsuki shrugged. "You guys should know by now that my father works with Tsuna's dad, right? When I started my training, I proposed a separate branch that me, my father, and my younger brother are a part of, with a few others hand picked by me. It's a branch that goes on some missions with the tenth's family, but we mostly receive orders from Iemitsu."

"Wait... younger brother?" Tsuna asked.

Satsuki nodded. "My younger brother Yuujin; let's not get into the minute details about how he got started in this kind of business but... he was introduced to Dino one day and started in the Cavallone before joining the CEDEF. Because of my little brother, I was hired to be independently allied to the Cavallone, hence the two rings, like you were wondering, Reborn-kun."

She flashed the Vongola and Cavallone rings to the group and their eyes bulged at the information.

Reborn nodded. "That explains a lot."

"Anyways," She continued. "I got info about the order Ryo-nii is talking about; the family brains planned a large scale operation."

Ryohei nodded. "The order is for us, the Tenth's family, to raid Millefiore Japan branch in five days."

Everyone exclaimed in surprise again at the time frame.

"That's the plan that the heads of Vongola and the allied families decided on. We should also work to do our part in the strategy."

"Five days... that's too soon." Tsuna commented.

"If we miss this chance, there's no telling when we'll be ready to make an effective strike against the Millefiore again."

"The enemy could find our hideout anytime, too." Lal explained. "The faster we do this, the better."

Satsuki looked in the direction Chrome was staying at. That might happen sooner than we think.

"But... this is a war between the mafia... For us to take a part in something like this... doesn't it contradict our original objective?"

"Our objective was to take down Irie Shoichi, right?" Lal sighed. "It's perfect."

"And now that Ryohei has brought Chrome here, you've also cleared the first mission I gave you."

"Huh...?"

"To gather the guardians, Jyuudaime!"

"That's right, Tsuna." Satsuki smiled. "You've got everyone to come."

"This is the destiny of the Vongola guardians," Gokudera grinned. "It's what brought the seven of us together."

Satsuki laughed. "Don't you feel embarrassed saying something like that?"

Gokudera blushed and turned his head to avoid stares.

"Well," Ryohei continued. "There are still a few things we need to discuss but let's leave that 'till later. Listen, Sawada. This strategy will determine the survival of the Vongola. It will be a very important battle. But... whether to carry out the plan and how, will be your decision."
