Hibari Kyoya was described by some as the fierce and merciless leader of the disciplinary committee. He would bite to death anyone who disobeyed the rules and ruined the peace of Nami-chuu and Namimori City. Ones who dared stand in his way were immediately taken care of.

His fellow committee members were no different. Although it consisted of a small group of past delinquents reborn thanks to Hibari, they were as loyal as one could be. Most of the committee consisted of young men, that is, until a girl showed up during club day at the beginning of his third year in Nami-chuu.

Fujimiya Satsuki was sort of an enigma to Hibari when they first met. No one ever came up to the disciplinary committee to join before, they were too scared of Hibari. Even though this girl randomly came up to apply, she actually showed interest in the club. In turn, this made Hibari interested in her and accepted her application.

Satsuki did well in her job. She wasn't the type to resort to violence when carrying out discipline; she left that to Hibari. There were some days where she just couldn't come to club and do her duties because she had to take care of her little brother, she made sure to tell Hibari this on her first day.

Satsuki was cheerful and a good influence. Hibari never lost interest in her. He noticed, however, that something was missing. Something... important. He didn't know what it was but there was something about Satsuki's eyes that made it look like she was missing an important part of who she is. A part of her own soul.

Even though he was curious about this, he wasn't one to ask so he didn't. He continued his duties and continued biting people to death. His curiosity for Satsuki dimmed a bit until she came to the club room one day after school. A little before he was given a ring that changed his life.

"There's something different about you," he had mused, looking into her eyes. There was a certain shine to it, one that wasn't there before and he could tell that she had found whatever was missing.

His interest in her grew. She suddenly started showing up everywhere that concerned Sawada and the others and he found his gaze drawn to her.

He couldn't describe what he felt when he saw her on the floor after Gokudera had finished his ring battle. She was gasping for air, the dust and debris making it hard for her to breathe. He felt his heart pound and he rushed towards her, leaving Dino behind and cupped her face.

"Breathe," he pleaded. He saw her eyes glazed over, on the verge of fainting. "In... and out... that's it."

"S-senpai," she had muttered, falling into his chest. He hugged her and picked her up bridal style.

Sawada had ran up, worried. "Whats wrong?!"

"Asthma," he stated, turning to Dino. "Bronco, we're taking her to the hospital."

"Okay..." Dino followed Hibari out of campus and called his car over. They went to the hospital in silence. Dino was curious about this girl and how she had the ability to cause Hibari to be so worried.

"She'll be okay," he said, looking down and Hibari. "Don't worry."

"I'm not worried," the skylark muttered. "She's a committee member, it would be troublesome if she couldn't do her duties."

Dino chuckled. "If you say so."

Through the silent ride, Dino snuck glances at Hibari and saw him look down at her a couple of times and saw him lean over and push her hair out of her face once. Dino hid a smile. Even if he denied it, he cared about her.

The day when they were blasted to the future, Hibari stayed after school to do some extra work. For some reason, he couldn't get his mind off of Satsuki. He thought about her smile, her laugh, her determination. Even the way she said his name. It was almost as if he going crazy. He ended up getting so distracted that he had to take a break and sit at the window.
