It took me a little while to catch up to the group. But not that long, when I got up to them they were stopped and yelling. A lot. Shay, Shaun, and Nicole were yelling at each other. Bella and Jasper were yelling at each other. Linda and Emily were yelling at each other. And Bellamy was trying to stop them. I started running to them now.
"Could you be any louder!" I yelled at them. "Who knows who and what are out there, and your all standing around yelling at each other like children!" They had stopped yelling now and were looking at me. "Do you even want answers? Do you even want to go home? Because your sure not acting like it. We can't get answers if whatever's out there kills us first. And I don't even know if anything is out there but if so they sure as hell know we're here." I turned to Bellamy "And just so you know we're coming with you guys, if you like it or not." He put his hands up to act as if in surrender.
"Any of you boys got a problem with that?" They nodded their heads no. "Good." He said. "After you then ladies." He let out a hand gesturing us forward. We walked forward in silence looking for clues, the boys followed.
"So what should we be looking for?" Asked Jasper, breaking the silence.
"Anything." I answered.
"How long is it gonna take? I'm tired." Said Shaun. Of course, He was the youngest at 13 so I would be expecting him to complain.
"Quit your complaining, were all tired." Said Shay.
"Not me." I muttered to myself as we walked up a small but steep hill.
"Look for food while your at it any thing we can kill and eat." Called out Bellamy.
"And what are we going to kill it with, smart guy?" Said Linda, it was probably supposed to be rhetorical but he still answered.
"With a rock… or maybe this would help." He held out a small gun.
"Whoa whoa whoa, where did you get that?" I asked, surprised and taken back.
"Found it when we woke up.Iit was just lying on the ground close to a bush, loaded and everything." He explained.
It's not gonna help me trust him anymore if he has a gun with him.
"And you know how to shoot with it?" Linda asked, I could tell she was scared even though she didn't sound it.
"Of course I know how to use it." He said. "My dad used to take me out to the forest behind our house and we would hunt. Look." He said, Then pointed the gun at a bird in the trees and shot it. He hit it and it fell to the ground after a loud caw.
"Wow." Said Shaun. "Good hit. You should teach me how to do that it looks fun, maybe when we go back home-" He was cut off by a loud bang.
Someone had shot Linda. She fell forward onto Bellamy as the life was being sucked out of her. I think it might have been meant for Bellamy, he fired the gun and Linda stood right infront of him in clear view of him. If anyone was going to shoot him they would have to shoot her first or wait for her to move and clearly they didn't want to do that.
Bellamy looked completely shocked and scared.
"RUN!" Yelled Jasper. He didn't have to tell me twice. We all started back to camp.
Shaun tripped and fell behind.
"SHAUN!" Yelled Shay. He ran back to him to help him up. He could barely walk, it looked like he broke his ankle.
Him and Shay were slower than the rest of us, Bellamy was about to go back and help them when something came down from the trees and hit Shaun in the head. It was a spear!
Shay looked horrified, he dropped Shaun and continued to run, another spear came down from the trees and hit Shay right in the heart. I looked up and saw things moving in the trees.
"Were almost back at camp!" Yelled Jasper.
