"Are you okay?" I panic into the phone. "Were you crying?"

"Uh. No." She says and I hear her sigh.

Beat had called me early this morning and after a half an hour of my phone ringing, I decided to answer. Which is good cause when I answered, Beat was in hysterics. She was blubbering, not necessarily crying but freaking out. We've been talking now an hour but I don't know what's wrong yet.

She says her first call was at 7AM but I didn't answer just until a bit ago. I want to leave for breakfast but she keeps asking me to stay away from the boys while talking with her.

"So... uh.. Whats wrong?" I ask, not too sure what to say. I don't want to push her to tell me. I'm not too good when it comes to making others feel better, I'm impatient when it comes to others but with Beat I'm trying to be nice and caring. I want to be her friend.

Wow, I can't believe I just said that.

"So I came and visited you guys.. how long ago? 2.... 3 weeks ago?" She questions, probably mostly to herself.

"Yeah, I guess about that amount of time." I look down at my fingers as I squeeze my phone between my shoulder and head. This probably isn't safe for it.

"Well, uh, to spare the details." She coughs. "Calum and I.. We.. uh.. He.."

"Did you really?" I ask. "You guys had sex?" I cringe and close my eyes for a minute, trying to get rid of the image.

"Quiet down! I don't want anyone to hear!" She shouts but her voice goes back intro a crying whisper. "Yeah."

"So, why are you crying?" I sigh, sitting down on the end of my bed. Lou was in the shower and I thought this was a good time to talk to her without having to leave the room or leaving Beat rudely.

"Well.. I took this test and-"

"MELODY!" I scream, not sure out of excitedness or fear. "Did you tell him?" I ask, now frantically pacing the room.

"No! I'm seeing the doctors today but I needed to tell someone.. I had too." Now she starts  crying.

I stand there as I look at the door. Poor Beat.. Poor Calum. Neither of them are ready to be a parent. Neither of them can be. He's never in his home, let alone in LA. He's too young to settle down and have a family, he's just in the midst of his career. Things will only get better from here. Well, that is if she isn't pregnant.

"Ryan? You've been quiet..." She sniffles.

"Oh. Sorry." I shake my head. "Let's hope its wrong, yeah?" I say as I stop my pacing.

"Alright. I'll call you back, yeah?"

"Okay." I finish and quickly hang up the phone and run over to my bed, flopping down.

How can this be? I thought Lily and Kailyn were with them most of the time... What? Huh? This just can't be. Can it? I'm so lost now. I need to tell someone. I need an adult. She needs an adult more than I but there's no one I can tell.

I can't tell any of the boys cause they'll tell Calum. I can't tell Lou cause she'll just say something mom-ish like do what's best for the kid or something. What even is there to do?

I'm glad its not me but I'm upset it's her. She isn't doing that well, still struggling to pay for her single condo and with a kid on her hip? And no one even knows if Calum would want to be a part and take care. Maybe he would, just cause he loves her but....

"You okay?" Lou asks, running her hands through her wet hair as she comes out of the bathroom. I nod and pull my phone from the other side of the bed where I tossed it and hold it tightly in my hands.

"Michael wants you to dye his hair today, again. Are you down?" She asks, knowing I would say yeah. Last time it wasn't so bad and he cooperated quite well. I had fun too, especially that meant I could mess with him.

"Yeah." I smile and nod, putting my phone away trying to forget about the phone call. I can't tell anyone, better not think about it.

"Good. They have interviews all day so you can do what you'd like. Meet us for dinner in the lobby at 5 and then we'll come back here and dye hair." She smiles, heading back into the washroom to finish her hair. "You can have the whole day to yourself." She smiles.

Great.

"Don't mix the colours together!" Michael whines, jerking his head away.

Michael wanted hair like spiderman; red, blue and black. This was a lot of work seeing I had to make all of the colorus blend into eachother without harsh ends or splotchy. And Michael being the little diva he is, everything needs to be perfect and spot on.

"Michael, stop being a little bitch and let me do my job!" I say, pulling his body bad towards me.

I sigh, rubbing my hands through his hair strategically trying to be a bit rough in return. He grunts and I hear the other boys laughing around in the background.

I turn around and see Ashton with his phone in his hand, high above their heads. Calum is pulling a funny face and I can't help but sigh quietly at him. They're all making faces and he looks so happy, it'd kill me to see this all ruined.

"Ryan! Your phone is ringing!" Ashton shouts, reaching into his back pocket and grabbing my phone. I had asked him to hold it (without breaking it) for me while I do Michael's hair.

"Answer it." I say, looking over briefly at him.

"It's Beat, Calum should answer it!" He says, giving it to Calum.

I see Calum smile as he opens his mouth to great her but her smile fades quickly as he furrows his brows and let's a loud breath out. He looks at me and his face turns into something thoughtful.

"What? You didn't tell me..."
