"Betty we should get a couple of dogs. One for me and one for you," Martha suggests.
"They'll just crap all over. You already do that why would I want more?" Betty asks.
"Because they're cute!" Martha exclaims.
"I don't want one," Betty says with no room for argument, but Martha has other plans. Of course she's going to argue.
"If you don't come with me I'll tell Bob's wife about that one night-" Martha was about to finish but Betty cut her off.
"Alright! Let's go!" Betty says as she hops up and heads to the door.
------------------
"Um Martha why are we at a dog park?" Betty asks.
"To get a dog, duh. Where else would you get a dog?" Martha says as she looks around at the dogs.
"I was thinking the animal shelter... but this works too I guess," Betty says as she follows Martha. Martha keeps looking around at dogs and judges them. Betty just stands there super bored and rolls her eyes at Martha once in a while.
"I think I found a couple of dogs!" Martha yells as she runs off towards some unsuspecting Dobermans.
"Oh boy," Betty mumbles as she starts to run after Martha.
Betty's luck quickly runs out. Betty suddenly trips and lands face first into a pile dog poop. Betty starts frantically wiping her face and then her tongue. Overall not helping at all because she just ends up rubbing more into her mouth. Out of nowhere Martha's old lady scream could be heard. All Betty can see is Martha running straight towards her with 2 angry Dobermans close behind. Before Betty could respond, she's trampled over by the two dogs. Today is not Betty's day.
----------------
"Martha we are not going to another dog park! If you want a couple dogs then we are going to the shelter!" Betty states as she pulls a small twig out of her hair.
"Fine fine," Martha replies.
"Good," Betty says satisfied with Martha's answer. Betty gets into the car and she drives to the animal shelter. Martha is spewing excitement like a kid in a candy shop.
The guy working at the shelter asks, "would you like to see our selection?" In a super bored tone.
"Yes please!" Martha practically screams.
"Eh," Is all Betty says.
Martha and Betty look through most of the kennels, none of which held a dog that sparked any interest in either of them. All of a sudden Betty spots a cute little female miniature poodle.
"I want that one," Betty states while pointing at the dog. "Martha I'm going to go pay for this dog. Meet me outside once you've picked one out," Betty says as she walks out of the kennel area.
Martha shrugs and keeps looking for that special dog. She comes across a male Rottweiler and smiles.
She looks over to the boy that works at the shelter and says, "I'll take this one."
Betty was waiting in the car petting on her new dog when Martha walked out. Betty's eyes become saucers when she sees the big dog walking with Martha. Once Martha gets the dog situated in the back of the car and gets in herself, Betty starts asking a multitude of questions.
"Why did you pick that dog?!?"
"He's going to poop the size of us isn't he?"
These questions went on for the whole ride. Betty and Martha live next to each other, so they decided to hang out at Betty's house with their new dogs.
"What'd you name your dog Betty?" Martha asks.
"Diamond," Betty replies while stroking her fur.
"What's your dogs name?" Betty asks in return.
"Sweetie," Martha replies as the dog chews ferociously on a chew toy.
"R-really?" Betty asks kind of surprised because the name doesn't fit at all.
"I'm going to go get some water I'll be back," Betty says as she gets up.
On her way the get some water she slipped on something. When Betty looked up she saw that she had slipped in a large pile of poop that Sweetie had left so kindly. At the sound Sweetie comes trotting in, sniffs Betty, and proceeds to pee on her.
"Ugh I knew we shouldn't have gotten dogs," Betty groans. Today is not Betty's day.
