Martha and Betty

2~ Betty the Stripper

  "Martha, I've gone broke," Betty says as Martha opens her door.

  "What'd you do this time Betty?" Martha asks. Betty looks at Martha with embarrassment. Betty doesn't really want to tell Martha the reason because it's happened far too often.

  "Ummmm... you see... I went out to the strip club... and I just couldn't help myself!" Betty exclaimed. Martha raises her eyebrow with a smirk.

  "If I had a dollar for every time you spent all of your savings at a strip club I'd have like $10!" Martha starts, "and you've never even invited me once!" Martha finished. Betty raises her brow as if to say 'really'?

  "There's only one way to fix this. You need to get a job as a stripper,"Martha says in a serious tone, but on the inside she was grinning wickedly.

She only recommended this so she could watch her 70 year old friend make a fool of herself on stage. Betty would most definitely get booed off stage.

  Betty thinks for a moment and then says, "I think you're right! I'll go get the job now!" Betty hurries off and Martha laughs at her evil plan.

2 days later

  "Martha my first show is today," Betty says through the phone. "Make sure you'll be there! You can't miss my first time on stage!" Betty exclaims.

Martha does a wicked grin and replies, "I wouldn't miss it for the world."

  That night at 9 pm Martha shows up to the strip club right as Betty is getting on stage. All Martha could think was 'where's the popcorn when you need it?'

  Music starts and Betty starts trying to sway her brittle hips. She does some weird chicken dance and the men around start to wonder what's going on. Betty finally tries to dance with the pole and brings out a double spin move.

  Betty manages to barely pull her self up and get upside down to spin. The first spin she does relatively smoothly- which surprised Martha. The second spin was a different story. Betty starts the second spin but gets stuck. She starts trying to wiggle her way around but it doesn't work.

  Men start booing her, just as Martha predicted, and they start throwing pennies and various coins at her. A second later Betty plummets to the floor.

  Martha hurries to help Betty get up while she laughs like a hyena.

  "Oh Betty, you did so good!" Martha says in a sort of sarcastic way.

Betty just groans and says, "I made a $1.96 out of the coins they threw at least... I need a different plan! I'll be back!" Betty finishes leaving Martha a little confused.

  Betty marches her way outside and stands by the strip club building. Martha just watches from afar in complete confusion.

   The next thing Betty does shocks Martha. Betty was posing and trying to swoon men. She was trying to sell her body! Does she not know that she's 70 and young men aren't into... that?  Next thing Martha knows Betty is racking up quiet the time schedule, and money if we're being honest.

  As Martha watched the scene in front of her, she spots a cop car driving up. Martha starts to speed walk as fast as her metal hip can carry her towards Betty.

  "Betty! You've got to get out of here!" Martha tells Betty.

Betty ignores her saying, "I'm a hit tonight Martha! I can't stop now!" And she walks off with no idea of the cop coming her way.

Martha just shrugs because she had tried to warn Betty.

  Moments later Betty was confronted by a cop and tried to make a run for it, but to no avail. Betty was knocked to the ground and taken into custody for the night.

  Martha had warned you Betty.
