Chapter 8: Can't help you now

The elevator comes to a stop. The doors open to reveal a completely different court room. The walls are now purple with pink flowers on them. The tile floor is now yellow and black. It's a really odd combination... Mononeko is messing around with some green yarn and purring happily. We all go to our stands and Mononeko sits up in his throne. I notice the pictures of Declan and Athena at their stands. I shiver a little seeing the giant pink X over each of their faces. His hands untangle the yarn as he purrs. "Start the trial or whatever..." He messes with his yarn. I facepalm and sigh. He really loves yarn. " Okay... So let's review Athena's condition..." Wild speaks up. "Well she was found in the sewing room on the second floor..." Ender leans foward on her stand. "She was found tied to a stand with measuring tape." Mary continues. "Well she was beaten in the head with a sewing machine." Xeo looks down at his stand. "That was her cause of death..." He sighs. I look down at the stand. "What clues do we have...?" Scar asks. "Well... The weapon used for her death was a sewing machine." Raptor fixes her pony tail ask she speaks. "They also found a pair of scissors..." Scar points at Mango and Anna, who stand next to each other.

"Why were their scissors..?" Cheesy asks, confused. "We don't know.... We believe Athena tried to fight back and sucessfully cut the person." Simple explains. "But... We found somethign stuck to the scissors..." I say. Everyone stares at me as I pull the fabric out of my pocket. "What about it...? It's just fabric..." Mary sighs. "No. There was no red fabric in the room at the time... So that only means someone wearing red did it." I say. "There are three people wearing red... But Mango was with me, Simple, and Xeo the whole time." I point out. "So that leaves us with Swift and Stiffy." I say.

"W-What?!" Swift begins sweating. "I was with Cheesy and Raptor the whole day!" She says. "She was. She never left us alone once." Cheesy says. Raptor nods in agreement. I look at Stiffy. "I was with Wild!" Stiffy says. Wild nods. "Really? We're you?" Xeo asks. "Wild seemed pretty nervous when we asked if she saw anyone go inside..." Simple says, gripping his stand. "Wild... Tell us... What did you see?" I say, glaring at her. She begins shaking. "I told you... I saw nothing..." She glares right back at me. "Did you? Or did you not." I say. "I SAW NOTHING!" She yells. "If you saw nothing then why are you being so defensive." I question. "Because you won't listen to me! I SAW NOTHING!" She screams.

"... Maybe you're the killer... And you tried to frame them?" I begins. Everyone stares at Wild in horror. Everyone but Stiffy. He's glaring at her. "I...I... I did see someone go in..." She says. Stiffy clenches his stand. "Why wouldn't you tell us?" I question. "Because... Because I made a promise with the person who went in." She sighs. She's shaking. Stiffy's knuckles are beginning to turn white. "Why are you clenching your stand?" Simple asks Stiffy. He looks at Simple. "No...No reason.." His eye twitches. "Wild. Who went in that room?" Mango asks. Wild lets out a shaky breath.

"Stiffy went in."

He growls and glares at her. "He went in and came out with his arm bleeding..." Wild sighs. "Well you didn't keep your promise..." Stiffy says. "I'm not dying because of a promise!" Wild says. "So Stiffy... That sentence just admitted you killed Athena." Xeo moves the bang out of his eye. "Time to vote?" Mononeko asks, STILL playing with yarn. He wasn't even paying attention! "Have you really been playing with yarn this whole time..." Cheesy sighs corssing her arms. "Hey! You guys get REALLY boring during these trials! What else do I do?" Mononeko says. "I can't tell you who did it until AFTER you vote." Mononeko sighs putting his yarn down. "Whatever I guess we're ready to vote..." I sigh.

We all vote and Mononeko pulls the slot machine lever is pulled down. The slots land on a chibi of Stiffy. The words guilty flash on screen. We all glare at him as he stares at the floor. 

"He did it alright!" Mononeko laughs. "The poor guy fell for the motive of fears!" He continues. "You fell for that?" Xeo sighs. "Didn't you see what happened to Lily?! Wouldn't you be terrified to see your worst fears come true?!" Stiffy asks. "Yeah... But I wouldn't kill someone over it." Mononeko laughs as Xeo says that. "But Stiffy was scared of being killed by all the doctor who villains..." Stiffy stays quiet as Mononeko purrs in pleasure. "What a fantastic class trial! But now... It's time for an execution!" He yells pressing the button. On screen a chibi of Stiffy appears.

"Game Over! Stiffy has been found guilty... Loading execution!" Chibi Stiffy is dragged off screen by a chibi Mononeko.

Keep Calm and Call the Doctor

Stiffy can be seen killing zombies with an axe. He kills them easily without trouble. More and more zombies begin appearing. He begins to have more trouble. He almost gets bitten a few times. A sound can heard as more zombies come. The TARDIS. Stiffy looks left and right to see where the TARDIS is. He look up only to see the bottom of the TARDIS for a quick second, before being smashed. The zombies seem to disappear when the doors open. Standing in the TARDIS is Mononeko is the 10th doctors outfit and laughing. 

 "Wasn't that execution filed with despair?!" Mononeko laughs like a maniac. We all stand there in silence. He's dead. He's really dead. I hide behind Anna and Simple. Wild is completely shocked. "Wild." I say. She looks at me shaking. "Why'd you keep that secret?"I ask. She stares at me. "I was scared he would kill me if I didn't say I would keep it a secret." A tear falls down her cheek. I feel bad that I had to get the answers from her the way I did. But I  weren't going to let everyone die over someone keeping a promise.
