Chapter 16: Not so Kawaii

There she is. Pinned to the wall with multiple knives. Wild. Our Kawaii artist, has been killed. "No! Nonononononono!" I scream. The others are horrified at the sight. "A body has been discovered! You will have a period of time before the class trial!" Mononeko's voice can be heard from the loud speakers. Why does this keep happening?! Why?! "W-Wild..." Simple covers his mouth. Knives are keeping her body pinned to the wall. It's disturbing. Her blood stains the wall. "Oh my god... " Anna says. "Let's... Start investigating..." Mango says covering her mouth. I walk up to her lifeless body. "Obviously... She was killed by the knives." Xeo says. "She was stabbed right in her stomach, below her knees. under her elbows, hands, and her neck. Her eyes stare back at us as we stare.

"It also seems the knives are keeping her up to the wall..." I examine. "Where did they get all the knives..?" I tilt my head. "The kitchen has a lot of knives. I think that's the only place we could get knives." Cheesy says. "Does anyone know how many knives the kitchen had?" Mango crosses her arms as she counts the knives with her finger. "I think... 10..." Ender says. "Okay... Me and Swift will go check how many knives there are now..." Cheesy grabs Swift's wrist and bolts out of the room. I focus on Wild's lifeless body. "Who would do this..." Anna holds her head, trying to figure out who did this. "What happened while I was sick yesterday?" I ask. "All the girls hung out together while me and Xeo were drawing." Simple says. "We went to the bath house... We heard from someone you and Mononeko had a chat." Mango glares at me.

Hope you little... She didn't go into sleep mode like I asked! "I uh..." I begin. "We're not upset." Anna gives Mango a 'don't bring it up here' look. "You both were chatting innocently." She continues. I look at the floor. "And you hugged him!" Anna squeals. I blush. "How much do you guys know?!" I yell. "Everything!" Mary laughs. I put my hood on to hide my face. "I hate you guys..." I mumble jokingly. "Well while you guys were talking about that... I find a clue..." Xeo picks up a prismacolor marker cap. "The only one who is innocent is Simple. He doesn't use markers." Xeo points out. "I only use Copics." He continues. "Lily uses both... But Mononeko was watching her the whole day." He says. "Anna, Ender, Cheesy, and Swift all use Copics... So... Mango and Mary are the only ones who use prismascolors and Copics." Xeo says. I look up at both of them. They both remain calm even though they're the two suspects. "Wait... How do we know Mononeko isn't covering up for Lily...?" Ender asks. Xeo sighs. "I went to give the key to Lily last night and the door was unlocked... I opened the door and they were both asleep... I was only 8 PM." Xeo says. "As you can see If you move her head..." Xeo slowly moves Wild's head. A clock can be seen with the time 8 PM."We have two suspects... and in some people's case three..." I glare at Ender. "What I'm sorry you seem obvious!" Ender crosses her arms. I decide not to argue and focus on the case.

"Well obviously this murder was brutal. There's blood everywhere." Simple says, lifting his foot, blood dripping off his shoe. We all finally realize we're standing in blood. " Guys! We're back! There are 8 knives missing from the holder." Cheesy runs in with Swift. "There are...? Well... That means all the knives that are missing from the kitchen are here." Mary says staring at Wild's body. I notice something in Wild's mouth. I tilt my head. "Xeo can you lift me up?" I ask. He looks at me. "I wanna check something..." I look at him. He sighs and lifts me onto his shoulders. I open Wild's mouth to see... Bread? I pull it out and every groans in disgust. "Is that a baguette?!" Simple asks. "I don't know... Has anyone checked the Mononeko file?" I ask. "Ah no! I will now!" Anna says pulling her ID from her pocket. "Damn't Anna that's your job!" Simple sighs. "It's says her cause of death was her choking... Not the knives..." Anna looks up at me. I open Wild's mouth more to look. I see a giant piece of baguette stuck in her throat. "Yeah that's her cause of death alright..." I sigh. "Why would the killer try to confuse us like this?!" Swift whines. "You done up there?" Xeo says, kind of annoyed. "What if I say no." I joke and he drops me. Simple catches me quickly and I glare at Xeo. "Thanks Simple..." I sigh as he helps me to my feet. "What else does the report say Anna...?" She goes back to reading the report in her head. 

 "Weapon of choice was obviously the bread... Guys what if this was an accident...?" Anna begins. "If it were an accident.... Why is she pinned up to the wall?" Mango asks. " Good point..." Anna continues to read through the file. "It tells us where all the knives are and what they hit. Why does it have to be so gory..." Anna groans putting her ID away. She looks pale after reading that. "Okay everyone! Time's up! Now let's see who killed the Kawaii Artist, Wild!" Mononeko appears behind us. "Time's up?!" I question. "Yes it is! What didn't I give you guys enough time?" He laughs. Annnnd he's back to being an asshole. "Now you idiots get to the elevator!" Mononeko says. We all exit the room taking one last look at Wild's body.

 As we walk I stay in the back with Mononeko. "What's with the sudden change?" I glare at him. He looks at me. "What? Oh... Well.... It's none of your business Princess~" He purrs in my ear. I feel his hand go into my hoodie pocket. I gasp slightly and he quickly pulls his hand out. I feel a massive blush on my face as I put my hands in my pockets. I feel a piece of paper in my pocket. I pull it out and read it. "The Cameras." 

 I stare at Mononeko as we step on the elevator. The doors close and he pushes the button to go down. Can we really figure out the killer with a marker cap and a piece of bread...?
