Peter Parker.

What could you say about Peter Parker...

He was a lucky little bastard.

His beginnings were similar to mine but then his miracle happened and now he is more privileged than most could even imagine.

Despite his cool superpower and his amazing aunt, he wanted more. He wanted the adventure to never end, so he swung about queens looking for any sign of trouble. More accurately, he got himself into trouble. Ungrateful...

Me, I sat idly by watching his life get steadily more exciting, morphing into a better life. Peter was shaping up to be a very strong guy due to his superpower and along with his sweet and smart personality, he just seemed to have it all. I can't say I wasn't happy for him but I'm human, I'm jealous...

Nevertheless, my jealousy is different, I keep it inside hoping to forget it and be the better person I know I can be. Sometimes it works, sometimes it gets the best of me and makes me feel worthless. Others might be jealous and want to take it out on that person they are jealous of but me I just feel like it's my fault or it's just my luck.

So here I am now, sitting on top of Flash's pool storage out house as the party raged on. I don't know why I'm here but I just had the need to feel normal even if I ditched my unsuspecting friends.

I heard that Peter and Ned were going to come, apparently so was Spiderman... Wonder how that will go...

All of the sudden, Peter was on top of the out house as well. I inferred that he hadn't seen me as he started stripping and revealling his suit. I knew what he was going to do but even if I was jealous of him, I knew I had to do the right thing.

"Don't do it Peter". I said simply, keeping my voice calm.

"Woah!" Peter jumped away from me in surprise "Shit. Y/n? Is that you?"

"Yeah". I sighed

"W-what are you doing up here?" He stuttered befuddled to have found me here. "I w-was just dared to put on this really... Lame Spiderman suit and... Uhh jump into the pool..."

"Don't try to hide it, I know..." I said. He nervously scratched the back of his neck, gaping at me like a fish not knowing what to say.

"I really don't understand why you are intimidated by someone as stupid as Flash. Why would you even wear it here to the party? What were you trying to prove Peter? That you're cool cause you're friends with a superhero?" I started ranting and approached me cautiously.

"I suppose... But I'm not sure if I am really going to swing in there. I mean Ned was begging me to but... Yeah I don't really know..." He finally sat down beside me and put his hands in between his knees. "Why are you up here again?" His voice raised in pitch.

"Doesn't matter." I shook my head trying to avoid that subject all together, "Look Peter, you are really lucky and I'm sure you realize that you would be risking that gift by flaunting it. You need to see that you don't need to show that side of you to be cool, you already are. The people that can see that are the ones whose opinions you should care about." I sighed. I don't know why I decided to have a heart to heart with a boy I've never talked to before but I suppose I needed to speak my mind.

"Wow, Y/n that was really... Umm. Thanks. I never knew you noticed me that much-"

"Yeah hard not to. You're not invisible. I noticed your little muscle growth spurt." I cut him off and poked his arms jokingly.
