25. What Camera?
All credit to @sophiegudmundsson on instagram. This rant is about photography and cameras but it was on a horse photography page so I figured I'd put it in this book.
Okay I usually ignore it but I'm soooo freaking tired of the question "what camera do you use?" It's the person behind the camera that takes the pictures, the camera is just a tool. When you ask that question it's like asking a cook what oven he uses to make his food so delicious. You feel me? When people say they're going to get it because they have seen my pictures and get upset when they're photos don't turn out like mind I kind of laugh at them. To be honest the Nikon D3100 (which I use) isn't the best camera out there. This makes me sound like a real b**** but keep in mind that I've had my camera for soon four years and my pictures were horrible when I started too. A good photographer can use any camera to get a good photo, but it takes practice. Don't expect to get awesome photos for the first time you use your new bada*** camera just because you got a good camera. You have to practice!
