Chapter 21

Lightning was laying on the ground, wincing in pain, after the last punishment King Boo threw at her. "Hurry guys, I don't know how much more of this I can take..." she thought.

"Will you give me the answer I want to hear now?" King Boo asked. "I would advise you to tell me or I'll keep attacking you."

Lightning grabbed ahold of the cage to help her get to her paws. "Nothing... Will make me... T-talk" She panted.

"You really are a fool, aren't you? This would have been easier on you if you just told me in the first place." King Boo said. "Now, because of your selfishness, this hasn't gone very well for you."

"I will... Never betray them..." Lightning coughed.

King Boo glared at her. "Why do you care about those idiotic brothers? You have no idea what they did to my boos. They trespass onto our land and attacked us with their power ups, not caring about anyone but themselves and their princess."

"They might have done it for a reason" Lightning said.

"Done it for a reason?! Whose the true bad guy here. The Mario Brothers or the boos?" King Boo replied.

"I think the-"

"I don't want your opinion, girl!" King Boo snapped. "I know what you were about to say... You were about to say that it was my boos fault."

"Wow! You're not only a ghost and poison type, you're a Psychic type as well how convenient" Lightning responded.

"Shut it, pest. I can easily eradicate you now but I have better things to do than that. Getting my hands on those gullible friends of yours."

"You'll never get them... They're-"

"I had enough of your blabbering, Pikachu!" King Boo yelled, using Psychic.

Lightning gritted her teeth to prevent herself from screaming, but she couldn't hold it in for much longer. "Mario!! Luigi!!" She called.

The brothers walked around the Mansion, hoping they would find the right door until they heard Lightning calling for them. "Mario! Luigi!"

Luigi turned his head to the left. "Lightning!" Luigi called.

"Luigi!" She called back.

Mario, she's that way" he pointed.

"What are we waiting for. Come on!" Mario replied as he ran ahead, grabbing Luigi's paw.

They made it to the door, they were positive it was the right one. They were right when they heard Lightning scream again from the other side of the door. "M-Mario, she's in there." Luigi whispered trembling in fear from what was ahead.

"A-are we ready?" Luigi asked.

"Of course I am, let's a go" Mario answered, reassuringly.

"Here we go then" Luigi replied as he took a deep breath and opened the door. They were shocked upon what they saw. King Boo had Lightning in the air with Psychic.

"Lightning!" Both of the brothers shouted in unison. That's when King Boo dropped Lightning and turned to the brothers with a Mean Look. He used Psychic and slammed the door behind them, preventing them from escaping if they wanted to. Luigi jumped but Mario didn't react and simply glared at the Gengar.

"Look who finally decided to show up" King Boo said.

"What have you done to Lightning?" Mario asked.

"Oh, nothing much. She's still alive for now" he grinned. "But if you try anything then that'll change."

"Y-You won't be hurting her anymore" Luigi replied.

"Try me, you coward!" King Boo shouted, harshly.

Lightning slowly got to her paws. "Luigi is not a coward. He's brave enough to fight you!"

"Shut up while it's good for you, Pikachu!" King Boo stated. "I will defeat them this time so enjoy the show."

"You can do this guys!" Lightning cried.

Mario and Luigi both shot a Shadow Ball at the Gengar getting a hit on them.

"You'll pay for that!" King Boo said. He attacked them with Dark Pulse But they dodged it and attacked with another Shadow Ball.

"I had just about enough of you two!" King Boo said as he used a Psychic, picking them both off the ground. 

"Let us go!" They ordered.

"Let them go! Leave them alone!" Lightning cried. She began hitting the cage door with Iron Tail, attempting to escape.

King Boo threw the brothers against the wall as they landed beside each other.

Mario got to his paws and ran to Luigi's side.

"Luigi, are you okay?" He asked.

Luigi slowly got to his paws. "I-I think so." He answered.

"Not for long he won't be" King Boo then Mega evolves on the spot.

"Uh oh..." the brothers said.

King Boo charges a Focus Blast aiming at them. Mario and Luigi watched him carefully. As soon as he released it, they easily jumped over it to dodge. King Boo was not happy about it one bit. Both brothers continued fighting King Boo vigorously until he had just about enough. "That's it!" He yelled. He turned to Lightning. He opened her cage with Psychic and picked her up.

"Help me!" She cried.

"Lightning!" Luigi shouted. 

"Let her go!" Mario ordered.

" Look at this little pest. Friend of yours, is she? Well, if you like your friend, you better stop attacking me or who knows what could happen to her. She's quite the annoying little thing. If you don't want me to hurt her even further you'd best give up now or you'll be sorry. You got that?" He ranted.

"Mario, w-what do we do?" Luigi asked, timidly.

"Chin up, Luigi! We can't give up. We have to save her" Mario answered.

"I know that, but how?" Luigi asked.

"Looks like you two are in for a lot of trouble" King Boo cackled.

"Mario! Luigi! You can do this, I know you can..." Lightning told them, confidently.

"How many times do I have to tell you to shut up!" King Boo yelled as he tightened his grip on her.

"Stop!" Both brothers said in unison. They attacked with Shadow Ball.

King Boo was hit and he dropped Lightning. She ran behind them. 

"Lightning! Are you alright?" Luigi asked.

"I'm fine... Thanks!" She answered.

They turned to King Boo who was now angrier than before. Both brothers stood protectively in front of Lightning. "Don't worry, Lightning, we'll take care of him. He won't be hurting you anymore once we're through with him." Luigi said.

"Please, be careful" she told them.

"We will, don't worry" Mario replied with a wink.

So... if Luigi does evolve into all three, would he de-evolve back into an Eevee and evolve or should he just change form and doesn't turn back into an Eevee?
