Chapter 36

"W-what do you need me for?" Lightning asked, backing up.

"Oh nothing much. Just when we told Bowser about you helping the brothers, he got a little angry and now he wants us to bring you to him as well as those two behind you."

Earlier...

The group of Squirtles and Wartortles walked to Bowser injured.

"Alright, now what happened to you." Bowser bellowed.

"Mario and the green one, sire, they defeated us along with their Pikachu friend..."

"Pikachu? What is this so called Pikachu? Also I thought the Green One was poisoned.

"We thought so too, sire, but he didn't act like he was poisoned anymore. The Pikachu is This yellow mouse with electric powers. She is super strong and she is as annoying as Mario if not worse..."

Bowser roared. "BRING ME THOSE MARIO BROTHERS AND THAT PIKACHU NOW!!!"

"Of course, sire."

"Well good luck with that because we're not going to give up so easily." Lightning replied.

"Fine if it's a fight you want, then it's a fight you'll get." The group of Squirtle and Wartortle then all attacked at once with water gun.

Lightning gasped. She used Thunderbolt for defense, shocking the group. "That's not fair! If you're going to fight, do it one at a time."

"Oh you don't like our strategy Pikachu? Good" one of the Squirtle said.

Three of the Squirtles went inside their shells to attack with Rapid Spin. Each one going for each one of them.

"Dodge it!!" She warned.

The brothers jumped over the shells. Lightning did the same, but they weren't finished yet, they were coming back for them from behind.

Lightning did a somersault over them. Mario and Luigi jumped.

The three Squirtles popped their heads and limbs out of their shells. They stomped one of their blue feet to the ground in frustration that they missed. Unbeknownst to them, they were being watched in the shadows of the woods.

"Face it, you'll never win. We're never going with you." Lightning growled.

Unbeknownst to Mario and Lightning, one Wartortle was sneaking towards them from behind. Luigi turned around only to see the Wartortle grab ahold of him "Help-" he could barely get the word out before the turtle covered his mouth and pulled him back. Luigi tried struggling out of his grasp.

Lightning's ear perked but before she could turn around she was blinded by a Water gun attack from a Wartortle in front of her. However, Mario managed to turn his head to see the Wartortle freeze. Mario jumped in alarm. "LUIGI!! HE'S GOT LUIGI!!" Lightning shook the water off as best she could and turned to see what the fuss was about. She gasped.

"Don't move or your brother's going to get hurt, Mario."

"MARIO!!!!" Luigi managed to cry out.

"You won't hurt him!" Mario growled.

"You wanna bet!!" The Wartortle said, threatening to use a Focus Punch.

"No, stop!" Lightning cried.

"I will stop if you come with us."

Mario sighed. "It's me, Bowser wants most..."

"No Mario, I won't let you give yourself up for Luigi. There has to be another way." Lightning told him.

"I know, but Luigi... I can't bare to lose my little brother... My only sibling I should have been closer to..." Mario looked down in guilt.

"Oh how very touching..." the Wartortle said, sarcastically, wiping a fake tear. "Get them!" The Wartortle ordered.

Suddenly, the Squirtles and Wartortles were levitated to the sky from some strange power. The Wartortle who was holding Luigi was forced to let him go. Luigi ran straight to Mario and cried over his shoulder while trembling.

"It's okay, Weegee, you're safe. I got ya." Mario told him, soothingly.

"What happened?" Lightning asked.

"I don't know but it doesn't matter right now. What's more important is that Luigi is safe and that's all that matters."

Suddenly, an Eeveelution wearing a black cloak walked towards them. "Do not be alarmed, heroes."

"Who are you?" Lightning asked.

"My name is Sonia." The cloaked Eeveelution answered. "You must be Lightning, the young daughter of Thunder, the leader of the Pikachu Village and Levina, your mother who was taken from you as a child and my dearest friend who I have lost."

"You knew my mother? You know who I am?"

"Yes, I am Psychic after all. I am a furtune teller. I would prefer that you come with me." Sonia told them. "I have something I've been waiting to tell you about."
