Everything Is Going To Be Different

Vampire children are formed quicker than human children. I know that there is a chance Elena may not survive childbirth. Bonnie and I are looking for a way to make sure that she does.

Stefan

I walked into Elena's room and she was standing by the window.

"Elena? Are you okay?"

"I'm fine."

"Would you like something to eat?"

"Yeah. That would be great stef."

"I'll bring it up."

"No just call me when it's done. I can come down."

"I need to hunt so Damon will. I will be back soon. I promise."

"I know you will. I love you."

"I love you too."

I went down to the kitchen and found Damon at the stove.

"Call her when it's done. I heard. Go hunt little brother."

"Thanks Damon."

"No problem little brother."

I left and headed for the woods.

Damon

I am not sure if Elena should come downstairs because she is like seven months along. It's only been a few weeks but the twins are growing fast.

"Elena."

"Okay."

She started coming down the stairs and suddenly I heard what sounded like her falling down the stairs. I ran to see what happened and I saw her lying on the floor at the bottom of the steps. Shit. I called an ambulance and then Stefan.

Stefan

"Damon what's wrong. Did something happen?"

"Yes. Elena blacked out and fell down the stairs. We are on our way to the hospital. Get there and bring Bonnie. She has a plan to save Elena."

I ran as fast as I could to get Bonnie and the doctor. Bonnie had found a doctor who is a witch. Great.

Damon

"Are you the father?"

"No I'm the fathers brother."

"Only the father is allowed to be there when the babies are born. You'll have to wait here."

"My brother isn't here yet."

"I am now."

Stefan walked past me and following behind was a blonde doctor. They walked into the delivery room and I was left to wait with Bonnie.

Stefan

There were at least five other doctors and nurses in the room when we got there.

"We are going to have to give her a C-Section. Stefan go over and hold her hand. Elena squeeze Stefan's hand as hard as you can okay."

"Okay"

Soon enough they had one baby out.

"Stefan. It's a beautiful baby boy." the doctor said, handing him to me.

"One more Elena. You can do this."

About five minutes later they got the other baby out.

"Take the baby to the infirmary. She had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck. She may not make it."

The doctor took her away and Elena was being taken to emergency care.

Damon

I saw a doctor come out of the delivery room with a small baby girl who looked as if she was turning blue. I knew it was one of my brothers children. Please let her live. She deserves to live and have a happy life with two great parents. About five minutes later Elena was rushed out of the room. I could hear her heart beating weakly. No. She can't die. Then Stefan came out holding one of his children.

"How is she?"

"I don't know."

"Have you decided on names for the two?"

"Yeah. Jessica Rose and Simon Lewis."

"I'm guessing this little guy is Simon."

"Yeah."

"Excuse me, Mr.Salvatore."

I took the baby from Stefan and he turned to see the doctor.

"Elena's heart stopped in the middle of the operation but she is doing better now. As for your baby girl.... Would you two like to see her?"

I followed Stefan and the doctor to the infirmary. She was so small.

"Hi Jesse." Stefan whispered.

"She's beautiful."

"Stefan would you like to hold her."

"Can I?"

"Yes."

She took baby Jesse out of the crib and placed her in Stefan's arms. I took out my phone and took a picture of him holding her. I'll get one of him holding Simon later. I looked to see the birth certificates.
