So this is not a flashback chapter like usual. This is a continuation of the previous chapter. I will write another flashback when people decide on the winner. If you don't know what I mean, go check out one of my earlier chapters titled 'Chaos'. So go read and comment!

Tracking this guy was not as easy as I thought it would be. He has gone through forests, mountains, caves, and even the occasional storm to try and lose me. Sometimes I would lose sight of him, but it seemed Whirlwind never lost his trail. We had been flying for almost two days straight. I stretched and rummaged around in a pouch to find a snack for me and Whirlwind. I pulled out some dried fish and grimaced. Not the best snack, but Whirlwind wouldn't mind. The rider was still in sight, and it seemed we were catching up. However, a storm was rapidly approaching. The rider probably planned to lose us in the storm. As if it worked those other times.

The storm was definitely a bad one. The rain was blowing into my face, making it hard to see. I wiped my eyes, and as I did, I saw the rider get struck by lightning. I knew not to get my hopes up too high, because it was common sense to have lightning resistant armor if you rode a skrill. At least, it was common sense for me. The skrill rider turned around just as I was struck by lightning. I winced, my hands blistering. I needed gloves. The other rider was probably hoping that the blast would injure me. Ha, no such luck.

We were getting close to the outskirts of the storm, as I could see light. With energy I didn't think his dragon had, they burst through the clouds and put some distance between us. Shortly after, I heard shouts and fire blasts. Did he have backup? I readied myself for a fight.

We broke through the clouds only to see the skrill rider fending off five dragons. Not allies then. The skrill barreled past us and we looked each other right in the eyes. He seemed nervous, perhaps because he was outnumbered? Then again so was I if they turned on me. What struck me about the group of riders was that the person in charge was riding a Night Fury. I could have swore that those dragons were only legends, but I was seeing one right in front of me. Part of the group noticed me and broke off and began chasing me. The Nightmare seemed easy enough to fool, and the Zippleback riders too. The Gronkle however, was just slow enough that most of my attacks would probably miss. I pulled out my baton and took a deep breath. I wasn't sure if this would work. I had only ever fought people on the ground, never dragon to dragon or in the air.

I held out my baton, and Whirlwind electrified it. I raised it above my head and swung it in an arc. I managed to hit the Zippleback, unseating its riders. I grinned, I didn't know if I could do it, but I had seen the other skrill rider do it to the Night Fury. I just imitated his actions, and now I had a new skill. However the Zippleback quickly recovered and grabbed the two people. Odd, if these guys were hunters, it would have flown away without a second thought. They clearly had a bond, but I thought that there were only a few who could bond with a dragon, me included.

The three dragons became more coordinated and began pushing me towards the other group. Soon I was close enough to the other skrill rider that I could have touched him. Whirlwind growled at the close proximity and the circle of other rider surrounding us. I adusted my mask, making sure no one could see my face.

"So... I guess we're partners for the time being?"

I didn't have to turn to know the voice came from the skrill rider. Ha. This could be my opportunity to get some answers.

"After this is done..." I didn't get to finish, as it seemed he anticipated what I wanted.

"If we get out, I'll give you all the answers you like."

I grinned. Maybe we were more alike than I thought. He raised his sword, his dragon electrifying it. The Night Fury rider spoke up, a note of disdain in his voice.

"So dragon hunters ride on dragons now?"

You have got to be kidding me. Me, a hunter? Actually to them, I may look like one with my scaled armor...
I had to speak up, but it came out a little angrier than I expected.

"Dragon Hunters? Are you kidding me?!" I yelled. Okay, so I was a little upset.

The Nadder rider spoke up.
"Then how did you get those skrills?" she asked.

"I think this is a misunderstanding. We aren't hunters. I raised my Skrill from an egg."
The other skrill rider spoke, and I was shocked to hear how similar his story was to mine. The odds of finding a skrill egg are already low, let alone two people finding two eggs in roughly the same time period. Everyone seemed shocked.
(Ba dum tsss)

"I can't speak for my new partner here, but I'm sure she isn't an hunter."

At least he wasn't throwing me to the dragons by saying I was a hunter. I used the opportunity to speak up, and shoot a few death glares at the rider circling us.
"I'm not! I raised my dragon from an egg too!"
My death glare attack is 100% effective at intimidation. At least, I want it to be.

The rider had been talking amongst themselves, slightly ignoring us. The Night Fury rider spoke up.
"You're right. This is jist a misunderstanding. We saw you flying on that skrill, and assumed you captured it, as we did release a skrill not too long ago."

Am I invisible? He seemed to be speaking directly to my new found partner.

"Lets start over. My name is Hiccup Haddock. The one who you electrocuted."

Haha, he definitely was a little miffed at the fact that the other rider caught him off guard.
I do still need to get my new partner's name. We all began to fly to the island, or Dragon's Edge, as Hiccup called it. I was slightly nervous at the prospect of having to work with others, especially after being on my own for so long.
But I was determined to make the best of any situation that came my way.
