Chapter 4

           Nagising si Edmond na may hangover, hindi naging maganda ang nangyari sa bar kagabi lalo na nang malaman niya na nandoon pala si Mary at nakita ang buong naganap. 

"Hey, Ed. Here." Tinulungan siya ng babae upang bumangon at binigyan ito ng tubig. 

"Coffee? Do you want coffee?" Tanong ng dalaga habang umupo ito sa tabi niya, umiling lang si Edmond at napahawak sa masakit na ulo.

"You know what? I really don't know if who's the heartbroken one here. You or me?" Tinignan ni Edmong ng masama ang dalaga.

"Can you get out of my room or I'll call mom that you almost got into a fight?" Tanong ni Edmond.

"Woah! Hold on there lil bro. Didn't I save you last night from that bitch? Seriously, for goodness sake Edmond James, kailan ba titigil yang mga babae mo?" Balik na tanong ng dalaga na nagngangalang Lara Jane Barton, ang nakakatandang kapatid ni Edmond. 

"Sis, they're not my girls. I never had relationship with them. Sila lang ang lumalapit sa akin. Alam mo naman na dalawa lang ang naging ex ko." sagot ni Edmond. Bahagyang natawa si Lara.

"I know. Yung isa sinayang mo, while yung isa, well isang malaking pagkakamali mo." Bago pa mabato ni Edmond ang kapatid ng unan ay dali dali itong lumabas ng kwarto. Napahiga na lang ulit si Edmond. 

Hindi niya alam kung paano pa haharapin si Mary matapos ang nangyari sa bar. Kung kailan naman niya binabalak na bumawi sa dalaga ay mukhang di naman umaayon ang tadhana. Alam ni Edmond na malaki ang kanyang pagkakamali kay Mary. Sinisisi niya na nagpadala siya sa kanyang emosyon ng mga panahong iyon. 

*You really messed up big time, Edmond James* Ani ng binata. 

*Edmond's POV*

           I walked into the office hoping na hindi muna makita si Mary but I guess fate is really playing with me.

"Sir Edmond, tumawag po si Ms. Gina kanina, may tinatanong po about the sales report. But don't worry nasend na po ni Kean." She told me as soon as I stepped into our department. 

"Mary, are you free for lunch later?" I asked her and she looked at me with a surprised face. 

"Huh?" She asked back. 

"I mean for a lunch meeting. Ahhh. Hindi ka pa ba nasabihan ni Karen? about the upcoming project? Apparently inassign ka to be part of the committee ng project. Ni-refer kita actually because of your performance." I told her. Well, that's true however, I also want to talk to her. 

"Ummm...alright sir." She replied. Yes! Finally. 

"Okay then, let's meet sa carpark at 12 noon." I reminded her before going inside my office. 

     Is this the right time to talk to her about what happened sa aming dalawa? Is this the right time para sabihin ko sa kanya na I want her back. Uggh! Edmond James! 

   *ring* 

"Sir Edmond, may naghahanap po sa inyo. Kylie daw po ang name niya." My secretary called. Wait? What? Kylie? What the heck? What is she doing here?

"Uhhmm, sige paakyatin mo na lang dito." I told my secretary. 

*knock*

"Come in." Mary went inside my office holding pile of papers. 

"Sir Edmond, ito po yung sales report for this month." She said as she put the papers on my table. 

"Hey, EJ!" I heard Kylie's voice as soon as she entered my office. I looked at Mary who is now looking at Kylie.

"What are you doing here Kylie?" I asked her.

"Surprise. Kakabalik ko lang from France. Di mo ba ako namiss? Just want to invite you for lunch." She replied and stole a glance from Mary. 

"Sorry, Kylie. I have a lunch meeting. Maybe some other time." I told her. 

"Uhmm, sir Edmond. Babalik na po ako sa station ko." Mary excused herself. I glared at Kylie as soon as Mary went out. 

"Seriously Kylie? Didn't we talk already?" I told her and she just smirked at me. 

"No EJ. Ikaw lang ang nakipagbreak. It's not mutual." She replied. 

"Kylie please, we're done." Call me a jerk now, I know that I deserved it or is this my punishment for breaking Mary's heart. 

"Well, let's see about that, dear." She said before leaving. A minute after Kylie left, my bestfriend barged into my office.

"What's up bro?" Marion, my best buddy since I was in high school back in England. He just came back last night from his modeling stint in France.

"I saw Kylie walking out so I guess hindi okay ang lahat?" He asked and I nodded.

"Mary's here." I told him and he was a bit shocked. I didn't have a chance to tell Marion that Mary and I met again.

"MM? She's here? I want to see her again. Man, i miss that lady." He said. Marion and Mary became close as well to the extent that during our breakup, Marion did not talk to me for almost a month.

"So, what's your plan now?" Marion asked. I let out a sigh because of frustration and propped my elbows on my table.

"I don't know bro, I want MM back. But how? In the first place, getting her back into my life...is that even a right thing for me to do? I mean she's fine now. I know that I shouldn't bother her anymore, however I just can't watch her being taken by another guy." I replied.

"Woah there Barton. Coming from you?? Really? Unbelievable. Naisip mo ba yan before? Panahong pinili mong iwan si Mary? Panahong ipinaramdam mong di mo na siya kailangan?" And Marion just dropped the bomb again.
