Erika's perspective

We sat in Shawn's car, he did not start the car nor said anything to me. It was dead silent and a bit too awkward for me.

"So what do you want to do now?" He asked and finally broke the silent.

"What I want to do now?" I questioned.

"Yes?" He questioned.

"Go home."

"Yeah, I guess we could just hang out for the rest of the day, I'm kinda tired too," he answered and started the car.

"Shawn, you do realize that your apartment isn't my home, right?" He did not say anything, which forced me to continue. "I want to go back to my dorm," I snapped and he automatically bit down on his lip.

"Oh, I just thought we were spending the day together - but I can take you home," he said. He was disappointed, no doubt - but why? He had a new girl, wouldn't he want to spend the evening with her? And not someone who practically ran away from him, and only caused him problems?

"Thank you, it's not so far from here," I replied politely, even though it was still so strange for me to act like this around him - only a year ago, we were so close. I know I was the one to end and break it - but I couldn't help but think about it and everything that had happened.

"Turned right here, and then you have the school on your left hand," I instructed and all he did was nod. Shawn did as I told him and parked his huge and brand new car, in the parking lot.

"So..." he started.

"Would you want to see the school?" I cut him of and regretted, that I said I wanted to go back and not spend more time with him. It was complete lies, like it was back then - I always tried to hide my feelings with him, thinking it would do me better.

"Um, yeah sure," he exhaled and turn off the car.

"So Humber it is?" He teased for some reason, and walked with me up to the front door.

"Yeah?" I snapped.

"Nothing, I just thought you would go for something like, Canada Music Academy or Academy Of Music," he explained and made me laugh a bit.

"Humber, is so much more than just music - that's why I like it here," I explained and he nodded.

We finally got to my dorm, and had walked through the entire campus.

"It's getting kinda late," I said and tried to get him to go home.

"If you're worried about Cara, don't be - she isn't living with me, plus we're just hanging out, not doing any harm or damage," Shawn comforted to me and pushed the door aside. I rolled my eyes and took a deep breath, before following him into my small dorm room.

"Where is your roommate?" He asked after he had looked around for awhile. I automatically bit the inside of my cheek.

"Um, I don't have one," I explained.

"Oh," he sat down on my coach, "why not?" He asked and kept his confused face expression on.
I walked over and sat next to him, while staring at my hands.

"I... I don't really know. When I was filling out some paperwork for the campus, I just marked the spot that said I wanted to live alone." I answered truthfully.

"Why would you want that?"

"I was scared it would happen again," I answered his question so fast, that I almost cut him of.

"Again? What would happen again?"

"That I would become so close to a person, and I would end up leaving again," I said and bit down on my lip, a little too hard.

"Oh," was all Shawn had to say. "What if I was your roommate?" He suggested.

"Are you out of you mind, Mendes?" My sentence only made him laugh, why did he find it funny.

"What?!"

"Ever since we met, you've only called me by my last name, if you were mad at me or in a cheeky mood," he kept laughing while he explained.

"You're such a child," I rolled my eyes and tried to stay serious.

"I'm older than you," he argued.

"Only by one year, and you sure as hell doesn't always act older than me," I challenged him back, but I ended up being tackled down on the coach by Shawn. I tried to get free from his firm grip, but he was so strong.

"Mendes let go of me," I yelled, but I gave in and started to laugh a bit as well. Shawn wasn't laughing any more though.

"Never," he mumbled and kept staring at me. Once again I bit my lip. I had truly missed him, and all I wanted right now was him. Whoever Cara was, she wasn't right for him, but it was his choice and I wasn't going to be that girl who broke up a couple.

"I think it's best if you leave, Shawn," I said and he let me pull way from him.

"Why?"

"Because you have a girlfriend, and this is getting inappropriate," I answered and walked to the door, only to hold it wide open for him.

"I had you once," he continued and closed the door. What was wrong with this kid?

"Yes, and now you got yourself a new one," I replied and looked away.

"I could never love her, like I loved you!"

"It doesn't matter, I'm not gonna be that girl who walks around and break up couples," I answered with a small voice.

"Do you remember a month ago, at the airport?"

"Yes?"

"I promised myself after you left, that if I ever saw you again, no matter who I was with or whatever I could be doing - I would drop everything, for you!" Shawn assured me and whipped away a fallen tear on my right cheek.

"I never asked you to do that," I mumbled and still did not want to ruin things between them.

"I would do it anyways! I'll end it with her tonight, then stay with me for the weekend and I'll prove to you, that my feelings for you hasn't changed, at all!"

I was trying to think everything through, but all I could think about was being with him again. I turned on my heels and walked away from him.

"Erika, please," he begged and already seemed heartbroken. Shawn followed me into my room, only to find me packing a bag with clothing.
I nearly peed myself, when he grabbed me by my waist. I could tell he was smiling like crazy, and it was confirmed to me, after he had turned me around to face him.

"I won't let you down!" He assured me and pressed his lips against mine. I pulled away, but kept myself close to Shawn.

"Let's save it for your apartment, eh?" I suggested and felt kind of triable about all of this. Was I really agreeing to try once again, just after he ends things with Cara? I couldn't help but think, if we were taking things way too far, way too fast.
