Ever since that Sunday, things have been a little stiff between us. Lilian's distanced herself, which is what I would have suspected. We still talk here and there, but ultimately all I get is a mini-wave or a small smile in class sometimes. After that, it's as if I don't exist in the life of Lilian Winters. I'm not surprised though. I may have dug a little deep into her life after knowing her for only 2 weeks.

Instead of wallowing about a girl I just met, I spent my time getting to know the school more by gaining more friends. I'm not an idiot, first and foremost. I keep my healthy space around the majority, figuring that they could just screw me over at any waking moment. The only one I don't do that around is Kian. The rest just seems like a fan club around me.

I sparingly opened my eyes as the bell rang forcefully in all of our ears. Kian takes a hold of my shoulder and wiggles his eyebrows suggestively.

"What?" I ask with a yawn as we begin to clear our desks and get to the next class.

"What? What do you mean what?" He starts in disbelief. I laugh a bit in response as he outstretches his arms as if he was imagining something out in the air.

"Think big! Think varsity soccer   tryouts!" He exclaims as he whacks me on the shoulder. I rub my shoulder and scowl as Kian shrugs unapologetic.
