Jacob walked in first, making sure he was there before Jase. He suggested that they go to this corner, it's a diner that he went to every Friday with his mom when he was a kid. It always made him think of her, especially after her accident. He let a single, silent tear fall from his face as he walked through the door. He quickly moved his hand across his face to ensure that tear could not be seen.

Jase had been thinking about this place all day. He wondered what place Jacob had chosen. He had given him the location a place, but not the name of it. As he drove there it occurred to him that maybe this place that he was going to did not exist, and that Jacob may not be there.
After the drive he saw that it indeed was a restaurant. He then proceeded to walk inside, and immediately his face flashed to Jacob.

"Hey Jase, over here!"
"Hey, Jacob! You doing okay?"
"Okay enough. Can we not talk about that though? It's all I've heard about the last couple days."
"Fair enough. Have you ordered a drink yet?"
"Nope, not yet. I told her to wait until you came here."
"I still don't know you that well.....what's your favorite drink?"
"Are we talking overall or cafe drink?"
"How about both?"
"Let's see.....For cafe drink, I'd say a double espresso. And overall would have to be a shirley temple. You?"
"I'd have to go with hot chocolate and orange juice."
"Seriously? That's what kids drink!"
"Can you stop making fun of me for two seconds?"
"Hmm.....I don't think so."
"Fair enough."
"We should do more than get coffee sometime."
"I agree. I mean your probably my best friend now."
"I'd make fun of you for that but.....it's true. You're the only one I told about my sister. I just feel a trust, you know?"
"I get what you mean. What's with you going all soft?"
"I could say my sister. Ever since that phone call I've been thinking things over. The things that actually matter in life., and I've been trying to figure out what they are."
"And what matters?"
"Friends. Family. And enjoying life while making the best of it."
"I really hope your sister gets better. This is not how you normally act."
"It's for the better! Didn't you just hear what I said?"
"Relax, stop crying. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said anything about your sister."
"That's not what I'm mad about!"
"Please don't leave."
"I'm leaving and you don't get a choice but to watch me walk out and realize that I'm trying out a different attitude, for the better!"
"Nothing is better than yourself."
