"I think I just had a little cold yesterday." Jacob said as he entered the kitchen the next day. "You still have to get rest, even if it was a one time thing!" Jase lectured Jacob. "Fine, mom!" Jacob whined. "You seriously didn't just say that, did you?" Jase questioned. "Oh you're right about that." Jacob slowly sat down.
"What can I get you? Pancakes? Cereal? Toast? Eggs?" Jase said ignoring the comment Jacob had said. "Egg-No! Toas-Wait! Pancak-Err. I can't decide!" Jacob exclaimed. "A little of everything it is then, I guess." Jase smiled. Jacob smiled and stared at Jase, "You're the best." Jacob was so serious and so happy. It was probably the most serious he had been in a while, and happy for that matter. He just thought about the last couple months, and how drastically his life had changed in it, for the better. For the worst.
Jase held up many plates, "One eggs! One pancake! One toast! One cereal! Coming up fresh! Well....err....everything besides the cereal at least. And the pancakes were from a box mix. And the toast well it's just-" "Stop. Just stop. It's perfect, it's beyond perfect." Jacob interrupted. Jase stopped in his tracks and blushes, full on tomato red blushing. This caused Jacob to smile more than he already had been. It was the perfect start of a perfect day.
"So, what are you doing today?" Jacob asked, halfway through his plates. "Uh, nothing much. Maybe get some things from the store. What do you feel like for dinner?" Jacob asked. "How about Chinese?" Jacob suggested. Jase grunted, "No! I want to cook dinner tonight." Jacob sighed, "Alright. Alright. How about Pad Thai?" Jase smiled, "Sounds splendid!"
Later that day, Jacob and Jase were on the couch relaxing. They were sitting next to each other all awkward and stiff. Jacob looked over to Jase and smiled, and looked away before Jase could catch him. But then, he looked back, realizing Jase was staring at him too. They both stared at each other, smiling. They imagined what the other one was thinking, imagining if the other would lean and maybe their lips might touch again. "Hi." Jacob said breaking the silence. "Hi, the-" Jase tried saying but was met but his imagination, Jacob had leaned in and made the first move.
They were both so awkward, the love still fresh. But when they touched, everything melted and fell into place. They became so natural and calm, so inseparable. They sat there kissing, slowly colliding together, until they staring sinking down and were laying on the large couch together. They came up for air and smiled immensely at each other. "I love you." Jacob sighed. His faces changed, realizing that he had said aloud what he was thinking. He-he didn't mean to do that. Jase just stared at him, lifted his lips and pecked at Jacob's lips, then slowly said, "I love you too." They just sat there, in the comfortable silence, looking at each other, holding each other, until slowly they both drifted off into sleep.
