Jase and Jacob woke up early the next morning to see the sunrise. It was nearly five o' clock already when still the sun was not up. "How long is it going to be?" Jacob questioned, "like seriously, we've been out here for an hour!" Jase replied, "Half an hour! Big difference! And besides, aren't you enjoying this time with me?" Jacob let out a sigh, "Are you turning it against me?" Jase grinned, "Yes, that's exactly what I'm doing." Jase sighed yet again, this time even more dramatic, "But I need my beauty rest! And naps!"
Fifteen minutes after that, the sun finally rose, which quieted Jacob up for at least five minutes. "I guess it is really pretty, huh?" Jase nodded, "Yah, it is. I guess it really is. But do you know what's prettier?" Jacob chuckled, "Do you mean me?" Jase laughed with Jacob, "Uh, no actually. I meant myself. Hmm....I really thought we were on the same page. Sorry about th-I'm joking. Yes, you! I just didn't want to get predictable." Jacob smiled, "You'll never be predictable."
After a few silent moments of staring at the sky and taking pictures, Jacob and Jase went inside. "Woah, you okay?" Jacob was panting heavily and starting to crouch on the ground. "Ya-yah. I...I-I'm fine. I-I'm good. Just a lit-little out of shape." Jase stared at Jacob with worry and question, then finally after several long minutes said, "I think you need to rest." Jacob stuttered, "Really, re-ally I'm fine." Jase looked really concerned, "You, need to lay down, I'll help you." Jacob resisted, "I'm fine, really. Just let me be!" Jase sighed, "You're obviously not okay, so please, please, just let me-let me help you." Jacob grunted, "I'm not weak! Just list-" Jacob went crashing to the ground flopping over. "Jacob! Jacob! Are you-are you okay?"
Fear, panic, and worry shot through Jase's bones. He didn't know what to do. He knelt down to Jacob, the youth in his body and the age in his eyes when he finally opened them after a long five minutes of Jase's panicked crying. "Hey there, Story." Jacob barely got out, his voice scratchy and weak. "You're-you're okay?" Jacob sat up, "I'll be with you for a while, I'm just a little tired, and maybe a little dehydrated. I'll be fine. Okay?" Jase took a deep breath, "Okay."
"Can I at least help you to your bed?" Jase asked. "Fine, but only so that you don't worry. I'm fine, okay. I'll be alright." Jacob knew the words coming out of his mouth were a lie, but it was the only way to keep Jase calm.
