Jacob had called the ambulance, and it arrived like planned. But when he closed his eyes, they opened back up. So he tried again and again, giving up on the world. But doctors kept coming in, giving him treatments, and taking care of him. He was able to stay awake more and more. He started getting better. He started getting stronger. He started wondering where the hell Jase was. Had he forgotten him? Had he found someone else? Why wasn't he answering calls? These thoughts rolled through his head as he did his mandatory lap around the unit, "therapy" as his doctor said.
Just then his beloved Jase, his beloved Story came running around the corner. Story's mouth dropped at the site of him. "Hey, Story."
"I-Err-you you're alive?" Jase said almost a statement and almost a question.
A tear came down Jacob's cheek, "I-I am."
Jase sank to ground barely aware of his actions, "I don't want to waste time anymore. I love you Ace, will you marry me?" Jacob sank to the ground and nodded. They cried tears of relief, joy, and happiness. Everything was perfect as it should be.
