"Okay so you put on this vest like the guy showed us."
"Then it attaches to this wire."
"And you jump!"
"More like a fall, but oh well."
"Who first?"
"Me."
"I sort of forgot to ask, is it okay for you to be doing all of this stuff when you have cancer?"
"My doctor wouldn't like it, but who cares what he thinks?"
"I'll let it slide for today. But you really do need to rest after today."
"Alright. Oh! My turn!"
"Have fun!"
Jacob hooked the chain while the official came and looked to make sure everything was correct. Then he started counting down from ten, and on ten he was supposed to lean back. Seven...six...five.....His heart started pounding. Four...three...two...one. The whole world rushed around him in a matter of seconds. Then he looked down and the water was coming closer and closer, he was going to fall in. What was wrong? But then at the last possible second, and we're talking a foot left, he flung back up and started letting out hoots and hollers. This was so much better than a roller coaster. Jase started shouting his name, no more like chanting it, for the rest of the jumping. This was the best thing he ever did. And looking at Jase just made it even better.
