Bucky was rudely shaken from his light slumber-like state by the door swinging open, loudly banging against the wall. He heard Michelle yelp in surprise and fear and saw Stark quickly moving to comfort her, protecting her with his own body best he could. But Bucky knew they weren't coming for either of them; they were coming for him.

The men marched towards him, and he didn't struggle as they forced him up with harsh hands. Tony looked up, immediately going overprotective and try to get up. Bucky stopped him with a movement of his hands, looking into his brown eyes intensely.

"No, don't," was all he said.

"Well I can't really let you take them!" he said, pushing himself up against the wall. Bucky looked at Michelle, and she understood what he meant. She put a hand on Tony's shoulder, stopping him from getting up. Tony turned his head to look at her, and she shook her head, telling him to stop without talking.

Tony looked back at Bucky, the slightest hint of desperation in his eyes. But he was smart enough to stay still, nodding his head and letting the men lead him away.

"Okay, what's our play?" Steve rolled out the map Tony had made some weeks ago, showing the HYDRA base's floor-plan.

"Okay, so if we were fighting in this room," Peter pointed at the empty spot on the huge map. "And they took them this way, they would either be in one of these rooms, or they moved them."

"Kid," Steve said, looking at him. "You're- you're not coming with us,"

The hurt expression on Peter's face was just heartbreaking, and Steve had to force himself to not look down, meeting the boy's eyes.

"What?!" Peter exclaimed. "What do you mean, I'm not coming with you? They have my girlfriend, my mentor and my friend and you're saying I'm just supposed to sit back here, drink some tea and just wait for you all to handle it? I'm not a kid anymore, I can do this!"

Steve sighed, he really didn't want to do this. But he had to, for all their sakes.

"I know, kid-"

"Not a kid..." Peter mumbled, but Steve just continued, ignoring his comment.

"But Tony wouldn't want you to go risk your life for him, you know that. And Michelle wouldn't want it either, and Bucky..." Steve sighed, running a hand down his face. "Bucky would lose it if someone hurt you, kid. He hates that, you know?" Steve chuckled bitterly. Peter's expression softened, his shoulders slumping.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Rogers... I-I forgot you lost someone too..."

"Hey," Steve cut him off, walking around the table to put a hand on his shoulder, like Bucky had done to him whenever he was beaten up in some alley, using the same reassuring tone he had.

"It's okay, we're all a little scared right now. But we will find them, alright? Just let us handle this, we'll bring them home, got that?"

Peter nodded reluctantly, clearly not liking the idea, but too tired to go against Captain America.

"Pietro, Wanda, you two will stay here with the kids." Steve turned to the twins standing off to the side.

"Which one?" Wanda asked, looking at the row of kids in the room.

"All of them," Steve said in his I'm-Captain-America-and-I-leave-no-room-for-discussion-voice.

Pietro groaned.
