Michelle was freaking out.

She just got a mail from Tony Stark. Yes. Tony Stark himself. Not one of his staff. No, Tony. It said she could come to Stark Industries on Friday, at 3.00 PM.

School ended at 4.00 PM.

"Well fuuu-" Michelle cursed under her breath. She didn't want to skip school, but it's impossible to cancel an appointment with Tony Stark.

Pepper had just left for some Stark Industries trip, so she was, like, halfway around the world. No time to answer any texts about talking to Tony Stark about rescheduling the appointment...

She was stressing in class while she watched the clock anxiously. She was never going to make it there in time...

At 2.30 PM, however, she heard the class getting excited about something and pointing out the window. Not long after, a man in a neat suit came in, a somewhat bored look on his face.

"Michelle Jones?" He looked around the classroom, when his eyes stopped at Michelle. "Tony is waiting for you, lets go," He commanded Michelle out the door and brought her outside, where a dark-red Maserati was waiting for them. Michelle stepped in the car, the man started the car and within 3 seconds, they were gone.

"Can I ask something,"  Michelle started. She had so many questions already. Like, who was he? How did he recognise her? How did he know in what classroom she was?

In the end, her mouth formed a complete different question, being: "What's your name?"

"I'm Happy," the man in the suit responded.

"Ow, really? You don't look like it."

"No, my name is Happy." Happy looked in his rearview-mirror, at Michelle. Michelle awkwardly looked away, looking through the window instead.

An awkward silence fell over the car, and Michelle was happy when she finally saw the big "Stark Industries" sign. She opened the car door and as she stepped out, her jaw hit the floor. She looked up, and saw a giant Avengers logo, carved out of metal(?) The building was about 50m high and 250m wide. As she walked inside, a red-haired woman came towards her. She was dressed completely in leather, and was wearing some high leather boots.

"You must be Michelle," the woman stopped right in front of Michelle and put a smile on her face. "I'm Natasha, Tony is waiting for you."

Michelle followed her, not aware of how this 'application' would change her life.

---

"Whow hold up," Michelle stood up from her chair and leaned on the table. "I thought I was going to be an intern for Stark Industries. Not an assassin of some sort! And besides, I don't even have any superpowers."

"Michelle, listen to me," Tony Stark stood up with a not-so-subtle grunt to be on the same level as Michelle.

"I've read your files, you're not what you think you are. You're  created by HYDRA, I don't know from who's DNA, because it's not in the files, but you've been trained to be a killing machine, and you broke free from their 'spell' and went on with your own life. That's why you think you've been an orphan till 5 years old."

Michelle sat back down and looked at the floor. She didn't know what to say. She didn't know whether to believe it or not. Her whole life had been a lie. Everything that she ever believed in, was fake. She got nauseous by the thought of it.

"So, basically, my whole life is a lie," Michelle got it together and looked back at the genius.

He just shrugged. He clearly didn't feel sad for Michelle, but she didn't blame him. He didn't get a lot of love when he was a child so he doesn't have a lot of it to give away.

"You can stay here for as long as you want, and if you don't want to be part of the team, you can just go back home and, eh, live that 'boring' life of yours." Tony said, rubbing his chest. He walked with Michelle through the corridors, to her room where she would be staying.

"Thank you. When can I meet the team?" Michelle asked as she and Tony finally reached Michelle's bedroom.

"You'll meet them tomorrow, at 11.30 AM." With a deep breath, Tony turned around and walked away, towards the door.

But as he reached it, he gripped onto the door-knob, failing to stand on his own feet. He saw black, couldn't feel anything, didn't hear anything. The last thing he knew before everything went dark, was Michelle, screaming for help, and his own heartbeat, slowly fading away.

Ooh, cliffhanger...

This is sorta where it gets interesting. I know it's kind of confusing at the moment, but it will all be explained!
