"Ulg, this tastes like metal."
Steve looked up from his book to see Tony with his eyes screwed shut and a disgusted look on his face.
"Than you shouldn't shove metal in your chest." Steve answered with a shrug. Tony's eyes shot open at the voice, quickly scanning his surroundings. He relaxed a bit when he realized he was in his room.
"What- oh, no. Never mind. That's so cliché. It's, like, the first thing people say after waking up." Tony said, rubbing a hand over his face. The room went silent for a while. "No, you know what? I'm gonna ask it anyway, because I honestly have no clue. What happened??" He looked helplessly at Steve, who, on his turn, looked equally confused.
"You passed out, right after putting that arc reactor-thing in your chest," Steve said, earning a relieved sigh from Tony. "And because you did, I thought I would clean your office for you." He ended. Tony's eyes turned from a relieved look to a worried one, jumping off of his bed, and walking over to his desk were Michelle's files were supposed to be.
"Have you read the files?" Tony said, without a slight glance at Steve
"Not all of them, of course," Steve put his book away, and walked over to the drawer were he hid the files he read. "Just this one."
He held the paper with Bucky and Michelle's photo up in the air. Tony sighed.
"So now you know."
"Should we tell him?" Steve opened the box and dropped the file in it.
"Of course not," Tony said, earning an angry 'you're heartless' look from Steve.
"What are we supposed to do, Steve? I just told her she was created by HYDRA for gosh sake, if she hears this, she's gonna freak out. Besides, we don't even know if it's true."
"What about Bucky?" Steve tried to sound as calming as possible, but inside, he was angry. Angry that Tony couldn't just leave someone alone for a bit.
"Think about it on my level," Tony said, trying to argue even further, but got rudely interrupted by Steve.
"I'm sorry, but I can't shove my head up my ass that far." Steve said sarcastic, earning a sigh from Tony.
"If I tell him, he won't believe me, and as I said earlier, we don't know if it's true. And even if it is, he's also got so much on his mind, I wouldn't like to see him stressed about something like this. Period." Tony put the box back in it's rightful place, and walked out, leaving the shocked Steve behind.
