The fight had been going on for a while. Peter had been chasing Brird-Man and Metal-Arm-Dude, and quite frankly, he thought he did pretty great. Outside was some weirdo the size of a house, srap that, a freaking mountain, which was totally normal, of course.
He thought everything was pretty much under control, apart from the fact that he was almost crushed by a plane gangway and wiped away like a bug (pun intended), when he saw Cap and his one-armed sidekick running away, towards a plane to get out of there. The Cat-Man chased after them, but for some reason his fellow spider held him back.
He looked around, desperately trying to find Mr. Stark, finding him battling against Bird-Man and the guy with a bow whose name he couldn't remember (legolas?). He tried to get up from where he had hit the ground, but found that his body wouldn't respond. He was forced to watch how the Captain and his friend were getting away.
He suddenly realized that the two men and Black Widow were talking. And they seemed to get to an agreement. The Captain and his buddy raised their hands, and put them behind their head...? He watched them with open eyes, shocked as he saw the Black Widow put them in handcuffs and lead them outside. The others immediately stopped fighting and put their hands up. Even the big guy shrunk and put his hands behind his head, even though he didn't seem too happy with it.
Peter let himself fall back on the ground, close to passing out. He heard someone coming closer to him, but he couldn't see them. He felt hands grabbing his wrists tightly as he tried to push away the person kneeling next to him.
"Go away!" he yelled, getting scared. "Get away from me!" The fight was over, he just wanted to go home.
"Hey, kid! It's me!" he heard the person yell. He immediately stopped as he recognised the voice.
"Mr. Stark?" he said, out of breath.
"Yeah, hey. Hey- you're done, ok? Go home."
"No, I'm okay, really-" he tried to argue. He had to prove he was good enough, right?
"No, you're not. You're going home, or I'll call aunt May!" he threatened when the kid seemed ready to argue further. He let his helmet close and flew away, too tired to get the kid to agree with him.
"Wait, no- Mr. Stark! I'm not done, I'm not-" he yelled after him while trying to get up, only to fall back again. "I'm done- I'm done." he breathed, laying back.
The superheroes had returned to agent Ross and had made an agreement. For some reason, Natasha had been able to convince them to surrender and they were talking about how to make the Sokovia Accords fair to all of them. The Avengers had returned to the facility upstate to discuss the accords.

Peter snapped back into reality as his phone started ringing his familiar ringtone, indicating that Ned was calling. He picked up his phone without hesitation.
"Hey Ned, what's up?"
"Nothing much," Ned had a slightly excited tone in his voice. "Did you, eh.. almost die? Recently?"
"What? No!" Peter's face made a weird exprecion. He's just the friendly neighbourhood Spiderman, nothing changed from the fight with Team Cap. Happy hasn't called back, he barely ever saw Tony after that and he didn't really get a word from the other Avengers.
"Do you.. maybe need.. a guy in the chair?"
"Not again."
"What? Just asking..." his friend said innocently.
"Look Ned, I have some projects left to do, so if you don't mind, I'll be going now."
"Okay. See you tomorrow."
Peter hung up and let out a brief sigh. Nothing changed.. He's still a 'friendly neighbourhood Spiderman' and still the loser at school like he was before.
"Will my life ever be interesting?"
