(Death Note) - L X Reader Oneshots!

Flowers

(A/N): I apologise if L seems really out of character here.

L's Pov

"Alright, we're here", I say, grabbing (Y/N)'s hand and leading her to a small hill.

"Can I open my eyes now?" She asks.

"Yes".

She slowly opened her eyes and gasped at the sight she saw.
It was a hill full of beautiful flowers that led down a small path to a small lake.

"Wow! It's so beautiful!" She said.

"Do you like it? I didn't know if you liked flowers, so if this isn't to your liking then-"

"I love it!" (Y/N) cut me off by running over to the flowers and smelling them.

People do that?

"They smell so nice!" (Y/N) said, giggling.

I turn away and feel my cheeks heat up. Her laugh is cute.

(Y/N) then picked up one of the flowers and started picking the petals off them.

"What are you doing (Y/N)?" I ask her.

"He loves me...he loves me not...he loves me..." (Y/N) kept repeating those words as she took off each petal. I tilted my head in confusion and put a finger to my lip.

(Y/N) then got to the last petal. She stopped for a bit and then slowly picked it off.

"He...loves me!" She said, turning to me.

"Huh?"

Before I could even realize what was going on, (Y/N) rushed over to me and wrapped her arms around my neck, giving me a soft kiss. I was so taken by surprise, I didn't even know what to do. I just stood there and let it sink in.

(Y/N) soon broke away and started giggling again. I felt my cheeks heat up again. I hide my face, so (Y/N) couldn't see, but I think that just made it worse.

"Aww! Ryuzaki, you don't have to be embarrassed!" (Y/N) says to me.

"I'm not...it's just..."

"Come on Ryuzaki!" (Y/N) grabbed my wrist and started running down the path, leading to the lake. I stumbled behind her, but soon managed to keep up with her.

(Y/N) led me to the lake and took her shoes off. She sat down by the lake and put her feet in the water.

"That feels nice. You should try it Ryuzaki!"

"No. I don't think that's a good idea".
I reply.

"Why not? Don't be such a wuss!" (Y/N) said, smiling at me.

"If I put my feet in the water, I would have to sit normally. That would make my deductive skills immediately drop by roughly 40%", I simply say to her.

"Oh yeah. Of course", (Y/N) replied.

"I will sit next to you though", I say, crouching down next to (Y/N).

We stare at each other's reflections in the water, until (Y/N) splashes me with water.

"Why did you do that?" I ask.

"I just wanted to have some fun!" She says.

I sigh, and splash (Y/N) back, taking her by surprise.

"Hey!" She playfully hit my arm, and started laughing.

"You did it first".

We had a little bit of a water war until we were both drenched.

I stand up and try getting the water out my shirt.

"Come on. Let's go", I say, holding out my hand for (Y/N).

She took it and got up.

"Look Ryuzaki! A butterfly!" (Y/N) said, as a butterfly flew over and onto her finger.

"Yes. It's nice", I reply staring at it.

Soon, the butterfly flew off (Y/N)'s finger and landed on my nose, causing (Y/N) to start laughing again.

"Aww! So cute!"

I felt my cheeks heat up again. (Y/N) reached out and took the butterfly off my nose. It flew away.

"Here", I say, picking up a flower of some sort and giving it to (Y/N). "You should keep that as a memory", I look down at my feet. "I don't want you to forget today".

(Y/N)'s cheeks went a little red as she took the flower. "Thank you Ryuzaki. Don't worry, I won't forget today! Not ever!" She leaned in and kissed my cheek. I put my hand to my cheek where she kissed me as (Y/N) just giggled again.

"Now, let's get going", I say.

"Okay", (Y/N) grabbed my hand and held it tightly.

"I had fun! Let's come here some other day!" She said to me.

"Yes, well no one else knows about this place, so we could come here any time you like", I reply.

"I'd like that Ryuzaki! Thank you!"
