Jayden's POV.

Seven Years Later

I glanced at myself on the mirror and grinned. Finally. Finally, Chyna was going to be mine. Legally and forever.

God, was I nervous!

Sam punched my arm lightly when he met my eyes in the mirror where I was trying fix the tie I was wearing. "Getting cold feet?" He asked as he put both of his hands into the pockets of his grey suit-trousers, and grinned.

I raised an eyebrow. "No fucking way. It took more than enough time. Chyna can be such a stubborn bull."

"Watch when I tell her," Sam said wickedly.

I grinned. "You wouldn't dare." Was that a hint of panic in my voice?

Sam winked. "Nah. I am the best man, remember? All these arrangements can't go to waste."

I sighed. If Chyna decided not to marry me in a few minutes, it'll mean that all the headaches I had suffered in order to make this the perfect day for her, would be for no reason. I wasn't thinking of making that sacrifice.

Chyna was going to marry me; even if it meant I drag her to the altar, gagged and bound.

Now thinking about it, it did have an appealing tone to it.

"Remember how much she made you suffer before she accepted your proposal, 'kay? Just before you kiss her in front of everyone today. She sure did put up a fight. You'll probably appreciate it more." Sam said, bringing me back from the appealing images in my mind.

I watched as he left the room with a chuckle after I nodded.

"Marry me?" I asked looking at her.

She raised an eyebrow and laughed. "You gotta be kiddin' me."

I shook my head. "I've asked more than enough. See, I forgot how to even propose romantically. You've turned me down more times than I can count!"

She smiled at me seductively from where she was sitting on the couch. My couch. "I just love making you suffer."

I groaned. "People wouldn't believe me when I tell them that you're evil. Nobody sees behind your 'good-girl' act. Why, God, why did I fall for this creature?"

She giggled and rose. "Oh, Jayden, you know I love you."

I kissed her lips lightly as she put her arms around my neck and tiptoed. "What do you want me to do, before you accept? You want me to get on my knees?"

She bit her lower lip as she looked to the left. "That does sound appealing."

I groaned. "You're a witch!"

She laughed. "And you love it!"

"No."

She raised an eyebrow again and looked at me. Just looked.

"Fine. I do." It came out as a grumble.

It made her smile the smile that brought all my defences down again. "You're so cute when you pout like that," she murmured.

"Yeah. Sure," I mumbled.

"Oh, Jayden!" Chyna rolled her eyes.

I let her go and took a few steps back. "Look, babe. My mum finally adores you. My dad always did. Your parents love me. Cristal...well she worships you. And if you carry on refusing my proposals, I might just stop asking after a while. Who knows, maybe you'll be an old lady with loads of cats and no man in your life."
