The week went by smoothly and there was never a day when I didn't smile. I was having too much fun watching people approach Jayden every day and ask him questions about getting kicked off the pitch in the first half. Every time he saw me, his lips would get into a thin line and grey eyes would narrow into dangerous slits. It was as if he was always expecting me to do something that would embarrass him. And I would. As soon as I get the opportunity. Sometimes, just to annoy him, I felt like saying 'Boo' when he walked past me, but I was a mature girl, so I didn't. Well as mature as I could be anyway. I did, once, however, try to trip him when he was walking past me, trying to act as if he didn't see me. This is how it went:

I was walking in the busy corridors, trying to get to my last lesson before lunch when I saw him walking in my direction. In my direction but not to speak to me or anything. Nope. He had a lesson from the side of the corridor which I had come from. I saw him look up and meet my eyes before looking away with the expression I had described earlier. I tried to be nice and ignore it, but when I looked away from him, I saw that Amii was watching him with regret in her eyes. I mean, regret?! What the hell! She had dumped him, hadn't she? Just because she was now lower on the school hierarchy she was willing to take him back? What a bitch. As this annoyed me a little, I could help but lift my right leg and then jut it to the right just as Jayden walked past me. He hadn't been expecting it as she was talking to a guy on his left and tripped on my foot. It was only a small waver and would have been missed if people weren't watching out for it. But I was watching out for it and so was Amii, and when he tripped-slightly-I snorted. Yes. Snorted! It was me trying to contain my laughter, but as you could guess, it didn't go well. Jayden gave me his deadliest glare thus far and I could see a vein pop in his jaw.

I looked away from him and looked at Amii, who had a horrified expression on her face. She met my eyes and, quickly looking away ran off. I was sure that within an hour everyone would hear about the trip. I mean, come on! Amii was trying to climb up the popularity ladder and if Jayden fell again, it'll only help rise her. See what I mean? No? Oh well.

"So flipping immature," Jayden grumbled under his breath and walked off.

I grinned when I remembered how he had tripped. And yes, I had been right. Everyone had heard about it and had teased him for a few hours. Okay, I know, it wasn't a very mature thing, but it had made me smile that day and that was that! Right now, I was in Hot House with Sam, Devon and Jewel. I had had a few drinks and my head felt a little light. When Sam asked me to dance I nodded and rose. When I started to sway to the fast music, it felt like I was stepping on clouds. Well, actually I wouldn't know how stepping on clouds would feel as I had never tried it, but you get my gist.

Then I saw Jayden and stopped dancing. He was sitting at the bar; a girl was standing between his legs, her arms wrapped around his neck as she spoke to him. Even from where I was standing I could tell that he was smiling at her.

Why did he never smile at me like that?! I felt like stomping my feet like a little child who didn't get what they wanted. I walked off the dance floor, leaving Sam behind, towards them. Sam wouldn't even realise I was missing as most of the girls had their bodies squashed on his. I needed a drink anyway. I went right next to Jayden, but he seemed not to notice me. It made me a little angrier, but I saw the girl cast me a sideways glance. I smiled at her, showing my teeth. It probably looked like I was baring my teeth at her...I was.

After getting a drink from the bartender, I turned to Jayden. "Hi Jayden."

He looked at me and the little seducing grin on his face was wiped away. "Chyna...I didn't know you were here."

I waved my hand a little, as if I wasn't interested. "Oh I'm always around somewhere. Today...I'm in this club. When did you come?"

"A little ago. Are you here on your own?"
