"Life is too short for you not to push past your limits i mean who knows when your journey would end"

Third persons POV

"Urghhhhh," Amal groaned to herself, frustration evident in her voice.

"Should I even ask?" her mother joked, peeking into her daughter's room to find her lying face-down on the bed.

"No," Amal replied curtly, causing her mom's smile to falter. The distance between them lately hurt, and her mother struggled to understand. Amal had always been dependent as a child, but now? Not so much.

"Amal, you know I was just teasing. You can talk to me anytime. I'm your mother, I care about you," her mom reassured, reaching out to her daughter.

"I know, Mom, but maybe I need to figure this out on my own," Amal said softly, her eyes reflecting a mix of determination and vulnerability.

"Okay, I'll be downstairs if you change your mind," her mom sighed, reluctantly leaving Amal to her thoughts. Amal watched her mom go, before she buried her face back into the pillow with a heavy sigh, a sound that even her dad Heard all the way from downstairs.

"What's that all about?" he asks his wife who was walking down the stairs.

"I don't know" his wife says with a sad sigh

"Have you gone to check up on her or do I need too? " He asks her worriedly, his daughter was his little princess after all, actually all of his daughter's were his little princesses, regardless of how much they've grown.

"Of course, I have gone up to her room to try to talk but she said that she wants to deal with this one alone. I just would prefer it if she shared her pain with me sometimes, I'm her mother after all" Amal's mom complains

"Give her time. If she says she needs to handle this alone, we should respect that. She's not a little girl anymore; she's 17 now, just one more year until..." He started to say, but her mom cut him off.

"AH Don't remind me, I have already Gone through that torture with Azad" Her mom groans making Amal's dad chuckle softly, pulling his wife into a comforting hug, wiping the tears that had escaped her eyes away, making a promise to himself to make her feel okay.

While on the other side of town.....

Zach paced nervously around the living room while his grandma observed from the couch, her knitting needles clicking away like a metronome. Finally unable to contain her curiosity any longer, she broke the silence.

"So, spill the beans, Zach. What's this all about?" She finally asks, because as you can obviously imagine and see, the curiosity was almost choking her at this point.

"Amal" he states, making her brows furrowed in confusion but before realization finally hits her and she smiles almost ecstatically.

"Oh Finally he is having girl problems!, I mean, the AMAL in question is a girl right?" grandma States and asks at the same time making Zach to groan

"Grandmaaa" he draws out

"What? You've never really talked about girls before," she defended herself, and that is actually true, the boy doesn't really pay attention to girls much..To the point where his grandma had even asked him if he was interested in... others, and oh, what an awkward conversation that had been!.

""This one's different. She's like a fortress, Grandma. Stubborn, sarcastic, and I swear, her words could be used as medieval torture devices," Zach rants in a dramatic tone, pacing faster now.
