Amal's POV

"Hey kid, I was actually waiting for your call to come in for eternity" Ariana stated with a smirk, making me raise an eyebrow at her in curiosity also her obvious lie.

"Oh Really?" I asked with a grin.

"Yeah, I told your sis that I was going to make you famous," she replied with a wild grin.

"Oh really? How?" I asked, grinning even wider. She was like the second sister I never had, and I loved her weirdness.

"By making you the first girl with a headscarf who knows how to sock someo—" she started to say before my sister cut her off. I stared at her as she stood behind Ariana, who was now staring back at me, or rather, at the screen. The screen turned black, but I could still hear Ariana running around and my sister's voice getting closer.

"Ariana, give me back my phone this instant!" My sister’s British accent showed up due to her anger. She was living in England with her husband in Wolverhampton.

"Urgh! You always spoil my fun," Ariana groaned dramatically. The phone screen turned dark again, and I lay on my bed, waiting for my sister and her best friend to finish their tussle.

"Sorry about that," my big sister apologized, but I waved her apology off. I actually enjoyed hearing her mess around with her friend. It was a feeling that words couldn’t do justice to.

"I actually enjoyed the show," I said with a grin. They always entertained me. At least she had a best friend who joked around with her, while all I had was an ex-best friend who now enjoyed bullying me. And then there was Zach, but that was just Zach.

"So, what's up?" she asked curiously.

"A lot," I said with a smile, making her smile back.

"Tell me everything!" Big sis said, getting comfy on her bed.

"Well, it all started when..." I began to run through the events of the past few weeks.

I watched as my sister’s mood changed like a cartoon character, from happy to sad and back to happy again. It was like taking her on an emotional rollercoaster. When I finished, I stared at her, waiting for her reply.

Azad stared at me as if trying to digest the words and emotions. Suddenly, she started smiling, making me raise an eyebrow. She eventually shook herself out of her thoughts after a few seconds.

"Well, that's a lot," she finally said, and I nodded in agreement. It had indeed been a lot.

"I know, right? But one thing I can’t seem to accept is the fact that you were actually right. He really isn't so bad," I confessed. Azad nodded with tears in her eyes, which made me worried. Why was she looking like she was seconds away from bursting into tears?.

"Sis, Azad, what's wrong? Did something happen to you?" I asked, concerned.

"What do you mean?" she asked, obviously confused.
