Your powers were evolving. You could manipulate the emotions of thousands of people by projecting your power. At first it was only one emotion but now you could project thousands of different emotions.
But your powers were putting a strain on your mental health. Each emotion you projected put a strain on yours, you felt 10 times the emotion you used. Until a mental shield formed, it made it possible for you to use your power without any problems.
One night a fire meta-human escaped, she cornered you and Harrison. When she shit fire at you, you projected your shield and protected the two of you.
You projected it completely, knocking her against a wall.
