With Supergirl officially over and shooting for season 4 having yet to be announced, Chris and Evelyn have had their hands full with watching little Phoenix and fixing up the guest room and turning it into a nursery. Both Nina and Ian decided to announce their baby news on Instagram claiming that Chris had been getting them baby books to keep their pregnancy a secret until they were both ready to share the news with the rest of the world. Both Chris and Evelyn were thankful but at the same time they felt terrible because they also knew that they wanted to keep the baby news a secret until Nina started showing

"Stop that" Evelyn looked up at the sound of Nina's voice and saw her standing in the doorway of the living room with her arms crossed, her belly was barely noticeable and that's because Nina was only 2 and a half months alone unlike Evelyn who was only 8 weeks along, "Stop worrying Evie. We did what we did because we wanted you both to experience what we experienced when we were expecting Phoenix. Starting that journey as first time parents is the best feeling in the world so don't feel bad that we announced our pregnancy to hide yours"

"I feel bad though. I know how much you wanted to hide your pregnancy for a bit longer and then you announced the pregnancy. I feel horrible" Evelyn said her voice cracking as tears began to well up in her eyes making Nina give her a soft smile sitting beside her and grabbing her hand

"Don't. Ian and I talked about this and we made the decision to announce that we were expecting another baby because we didn't want you to feel pressured in telling the world about the baby until you and Chris were ready to say it. We're family and family looks after each other remember?" Nina said and Evelyn sniffled

"I don't even know why I'm crying" She mumbled making Nina laugh

"It's normal to have mood swings Evie. You'll be having many more as the pregnancy develops" Nina said giving her a hug and Evelyn sighed before pulling back

"I really am sorry that y-" Evelyn began to apologize but Nina cut her off

"Stop apologizing Evie. We did it to help you both because we knew what it means to you both to hide this pregnancy" she said and Evelyn sighed biting her bottom lip, "You'll announce it when you're ready to do it"

Evelyn sighed, nodded and wiped the few tears that had rolled down her face then gave Nina a smile for cheering her up and making her feel better.

"Now, come on. We're all waiting for you outside" Nina said as she stood up before helping Evelyn to her feet

"Sorry for hiding in here" she mumbled but Nina rolled her eyes and smiled

"Stop apologizing for everything Evie. You did nothing wrong" Nina said as she opened the sliding glass door that led tot be yard and as soon as the two women exited the house, both Ian and Chris were at their sides

"Everything okay?" Ian asked as he looked between both his wife and sister but they both nodded giving him a smile

"Everything perfect" Nina said and Ian raised a brow

"Are you sure?" Chris asked this time noticing Evelyn's glazed eyes but she nodded

"Everything fine babe" Evelyn said giving him a reassuring smile and he nodded

"Okay." The rest of the day was spent with them talk about the babies and how happy they all were that both Evelyn and Nina will be having their babies almost at the same time. Little Phoenix kept waddling over to them and giving both Evelyn and Nina a kiss on the cheek before running off to play with the dogs and of course Chris and Ian joined him while the girls sat back and watched.

"Ian is an amazing dad" Evelyn said watching him and Phoenix playing

"And Chris will be an incredible father" Nina added when Ian sat Phoenix down only for Chris to chase him around the yard making the toddler giggle as he ran as fast as his legs could take him.
